I have decided despite my DS2 being 2 and half when number 3 comes along that I will be investing in a double buggy. I have been looking at a mothercare hoxton or a cosatto duet lite. Does anyone have any views on these buggies or any other suggestions?

Pretty much everyones opinion I've ever read/heard has been that the phil n teds one is best for toddler&newborn combo, although I personally don't like 3 wheelers but I found recently that P&T do a 4wheeler but I've not seen it in the flesh as waiting til much closer/after birth to decide if i need double or not HTH

Krystal I can't remember when your due but I think its 3 or 4 wks before me and my 20ish wk scan is on the 9th Jan when I'm 19+2

    Tee hee!
My brain had a meltdown today after getting up super early, going to doc's having nap, getting more bad news about dad, then having a 'mare in tesco
I'm completely knackard and my pelvis is soo stiff now but at least I have got my special cream on my eczema and its not been the tiniest bit itchy since :j:T

Meant to say earlier that another bonus of moses b is that Chris can still sleep in his travel cot at grandparents for a bit if bubs is in MB as I'm keeping him with sides on his cotbed for as long as possible at home

  • I am indeed an Alice :)

We have a hand-me-down crib (we have been lucky with the amount of hand me down stuff - I think pretty much the only stuff we have bought brand new has been nursery furniture, plus my parents bought the push chair - everything else we've managed to get second hand or someone has had it hidden away in their loft), which I will get MIL to bring over once I've cleared room in our room for it.... I'm tempted to just wait until baby turns up, and get them to bring it down then, but then I will probably end up putting other junk in the space, and having to tidy up again ;)

slscarborough we have bought the phil and teds after trying out every double pram there is available. the icandy pear is very heavy and fiddly to put up and down. also the fact the phil and teds can be used as a single is the biggest bonus as no doubt LO will be wanting to walk everywhere after a few months. i would say that you would be better trying them out before deciding.

oh i am so tired that is me just sat down and i ache all over, beds are all changed, washing machine is on, kids all sleeping in their spotless rooms!! only have kitchen to gut and thats it all done thank god:D
had to laugh tonight as abi wouldnt help tidy so i told her santa will be taking one of her presents away, she said number one present was her house and she looked horrified. needless to say she picked up every toy and even helped to put the ironing away!!!!

Well... Last night I finally got sorted, wrote a list of everything I need to do/buy main thing was cards as half my family are divorced and remarried so I have double the relatives! I spent ages staring blankly at the squllions of Chrimbo cards in tesco only to realise that they didn't have a single one that said "Grandma and Granddad" or Grandma or Granddad or uncle or auntie or godmother or any sister one that wasn't a sickeningly lovey dovey!
Then I realised I'd forgotten that for some unknown stupid reason tesco don't sell Heinz spaggetti and sausages in tommy sauce only the ones in bacon sauce!! and I NEED some!

  • Evening ladies :D

Just checking in to see how everyone is - hoping for a glimpse of baby Jamie...where is he ;):D

Been shopping today - what a nightmare. I had to keep taking bags back to the car because they were too heavy. In WHSmith I had to ask for an extra carrier bag because they had put 2 heavy books in one of their bags that rip your hand off. The stroppy little mare behind the counter started moaning on about wasting carrier bags  I told her I was sorry but I was pregnant and carrying all those books on one side would cripple me and she just pulled a face - COW!!

Came home, started to tell hubby about it and burst into tears :o methinks I overdid it a little!!

I have loads to say but I didn't take notes cos I'm on my jollydays - sorry girlies :D
