SB - I'm another who cannot stand this wait! Perhaps it'd be a good idea to nominate a 'text buddy' so that we can get updates while you are in labour!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Had some bleeding this morning. Was when I went for a number 2. I had this last time and then I was carrying twins and I lost one. Really hoping everything is OK this time.
Doctors are going to arrange for an early scan for me. They have been in touch with the hospital and they say that the hospital will contact me directly. Have to wait till 7 weeks though so its lookuing like sometime after the 3rd January.0 -
Shelvis, as someone who's bled a couple of times through this pregnancy I know it's pointless saying because you still will... But do try not to worry, there are a whole host of different reasons for bleeding during pregnancy and not all of them are the worst...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Yes I am really trying not to but having lost one twin last time it all feels very familiar. I lost the baby at 6 weeks last time but the sac didn't come away till 9 weeks so i bled on and off for ages. Ovbiously when there is still 1 viable pregnancy in there they can't do any surgical intervention to get the rest out so I had to wait it out - and every time I bled I thought I was losing the other baby.
I did have a happy outcome last time as I gave birth to a healthy baby boy who is now almost 1 so I am trying to think if it goes the same as last time there are a lot worse things that can happen. But seeing blood just is horrid.
I think now i have obsessive knicker watching!! I felt something come out in M&S today and it was all i could do to stop myself just checking my undies in the middle of the bacon ailse!!0 -

That is a really good idea!! We should all be nominated someone who is due 4 weeks after us and they can be our buddies :-)0 -

Hi all..
Mookie&co - I hope your day (in court, wasn't it?) hasn't been too stressful and you manage to chill out tonight
Yes a very successful day in court. Managed to get the local authority off my client's back for a while longer. The kids were not at risk but since Baby P the local authorities are running to court every 5 minutes just in case.
I'm feeling a whole lot better and brighter today. Really really looking forward to xmas and hoping that Santa will bring me lots of goodies for Beanie.
About the baby movement. This is my first and i'm 14 + 3 (according to dating scan but I think i'm 15 + 3). I am very sensitive to my body and I have felt little flutters for about a week or so. Now it could of couse be me just wanting it to be baby moving but I have felt what I think was baby doing a somersault in there a couple of times. It only usually happens when i'm in bed, lieing on the sofa or driving. Think Beanie likes me singing to him/her on the way home from work!!! It is very very irregular and most days there is nothing at all. I didnt want to say anything as I thought that it was very very unlikely I would feel it so early. It has made me cry a few times (she says almost crying as she types it!) because I can imagine little beanie happy and cosy in there - which in turn makes me overwhelmingly happy!!
Those that get stuff from freecycle, do you just keep an eye on it everyday or can you do a specific search for baby stuff. I have given but not received from freecycle so can't remember!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
Afternoon all - had a lovely lunch with my friend. Thought we'd head out of town to a pub in the country, so it had car park next door, rather than trying to face the parking/crowds/work-do's in town. So we headed to a pub that used to be a Brewers Fair (not very exciting, but at least you know what you're getting!). Turns out they've been bought out by a couple who are running it themselves, and they have an AA rosette winner chef, and it was all amazingly good
Obviously a bit more expensive than I was expecting, as it had gone a bit up-market, but really still very good value for the quality of the food. And my friend insisted on paying for me! I'm trying to work out who I can get to take me there tomorrow now

Re public transport - I don't know if you have to live in London for this, but you can get a "baby on board" badge from Transport for London to wear on the train, to make it even more obvious that people should let you sit down. (details) If all else fails, I'd say loudly "is anyone going to be chivalrous, or do I have to sit on someone?!".... that usually worksIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Oh and - I don't do paper cards for people I see in real life to wish Merry Christmas to, or to on-line people. Instead I bought this for everyone on here/lj/facebook

How long can you use a moses basket for? I like the idea of them being so easily mobile.
My 3 went in for between 8 weeks and about 7 months!!!! It depends how big/ long your baby is (mine were all smallish)
