i know you ladie are probably already aware, but mama and papas have some decent price reductions on some of their prams.
i am now deciding whether i would like a moses basket, swinging crib or a cot. must take into account also that bubs will be in with us in an average size room, not massively big but not a small one either. any recommendations???0 -
Can feel my bubba having a good wriggle now I've sat down. Dunno how come I can so early. Cazscoob, I see you've had a few! Could you feel baby moving earlier than usual?Too many children, too little time!!!

I personally would not fork out for a new moses basket... They are in them for a relatively short time so if you think you might use one then see if you can borrow or get 2nd hand... Cribs last slightly longer and look prettier but cost more... I'm borrowing a crib for downstairs but will just be pushing the cot up to the bed and leaving one side off so no need for anything upstairs bar the cot... In theory...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

AF I've changed my mind and decided a moses basket with stand would be better than a swinging crib as I can take the basket downstairs or even next doors but with a crib I can't...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

How many weeks are you Tara? I felt 1 movement at about 12 weeks but think baby was just spring boarding off the bottom or something... Didn't feel anything after that until about 14/15 weeks... Feel it loads now... and had my legs up on the chair earlier and baby kicked down low and I felt it on my leg just a tiny bit... Or I could be delusional...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... thanks KK
if i get a moses basket, i would pick one up from a car boot and then just buy the mattress second hand. i appreciate they are not used for a great length of time which is why my initial reaction was to look towards the crib or cot. just wanted you 'experienced' ladies to give me a heads up

this was a thought i had also, which was one 'pro' for the moses basket.
this is not going to be an easy decision
i have also read differing opinions re having a new born in a 'normal' size cot and the baby feeling 'lost'. so many decisions.
and also....bubs is going mad lately, not just kicks anymore, i 'm sure he's standing up and jumping around in there

I didn't know you'd be able to feel them so soon. I can't wait. Then it would feel real.
How long can you use a moses basket for? I like the idea of them being so easily mobile.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -

this is my first and i must say i probably only felt movement from 18 weeks or so. even then i wasn't sure but i had a 'spinning' feel and then as the weeks progressed the movements got stronger and changed. now, as i posted above, if i didn't know better i would say bubs is standing up and jumping up and down.0
