Morning all
I know Ickle... Speaking to my friend last night who has twins she said that she wishes she'd gone for the pram she wanted but felt was too expensive to start with... instead she went through 4 prams! even with buying them second hand she's spent nearly £1000 on them when the pram itself could have been bought for just over £600 to start with - the car seats she viewed seperately as at least the pram she could sell on through ebay
I know the iCandy isn't cheap either but think we're going to go for that so long as the leg rest can be adjusted lengthwiseDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Morning all,
Think I might make some mince pies today... Am a bit benused really.. DH came back last night and he'd bought me a stocking and filled it with some little bits... Now I feel compelled to do the same for him... But I really don't want to go to town the day before christmas eve! Although it might be a good distraction for Aimee... All I've heard since we got up is 'I'm hungry' She's had breakfast, an apple and a giant pear...
Can't believe you have your scan before me too Sami!
Nice to see you mirror, hope you're okA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I guess I had better join the club as I'm pregnant, well not me exactly but my wife is. According to the midwife it should pop out mid July, first scan is some time early in the new year I just hope everything will be OK but until I see it, I still won't really believe it. My wife is more convinced something to do with the burping, farting, constipation, sore boobs and constantly feeling sick:p
I would like to say we have been trying for ages but to be honest neither of us expected it and it's a totally unplanned accident, especially as the doctor told her she had abnormal ovulation, would have trouble getting pregnant and was on the supposed pill at the time.Nothing to see here, move along.0 -

Welcome coveredinbees! We weren't trying ages either although it was planned - we managed it first time
Morning sickness - or all day sickness... to help her out get her a piece of toast before she moves in the morning - that's really important... tell her to not even sit up! Just plain toast - you'll find it WILL helpI also found milk settled my tummy (still does now with the heartburn!) and eating lots of fruit made me feel better too... there are loads of things she can try but the common ones didn't work for me... the ginger biscuits made me worse, travel bands didn't help and so on... I ended up on medication because of the severity (after a few days in hospital on a drip...) but that is a rarity - just be aware there IS something that can be done if it gets too bad
If at any point she can't keep anything down - especially fuild! - for more than 24 hours make her go see the doctors so they can monitor her
And if it's not planned make sure you both talk loads about this... it's a huge step even if it IS planned and I imagine even bigger if it's not. Make sure you keep communicatingDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Morning all!
SB Glad to hear your feeling a little better. Poor you though its not nice when they are late, Josh was 2 weeks late I'm hoping my little girl will at least be on time!
Elle, Hope you feel OK, I didn't mind it so much as I knew bubs was sticking around, if you know what I mean?
Not happy this morning, I'm in agony. I have been having really bad pains in the base of my back and coccyx and general pelvis area. Sounds odd, but feels as if one leg is longer than the other and having to take all the weight. Anyway went to asda yesterday afternoon and a little girl aged around 8 years old was swinging an empty trolley round and slammed it into my back/hips. I probably shouldn't have but I snapped and told her to be careful, only for her dad to turn around and give me a mouthful. I apologized to him and asked if he thought he could keep his daughter under control as the shop was extremely busy and I didn't think she should be swinging the trolley round as it was dangerous and I am now quite obviously pregnant. To which he replied Oh I thought you were just fat! I wouldn't mind but I'm not. I was almost in tears as a few people had stopped to gawp! A nice elderly gentleman asked me if I was OK and shouted at the nasty man for me though!
Then my OH turned up to collect us and asked why I was walking so funny and I told him and he was fuming and wanted to march me round the shop to find this guy, he is so protective of me at the mo! Got up this morning and was in the bathroom and saw in the full length mirror that I am all bruised where she whacked me with the trolley. To be honest it doesn't take much at the moment but still, I just hope bubs is OK she has been moving round in her usual pattern so I think all is well. Have midwife on Monday though and I cant imagine what she going to think when / if she sees all this bruising!
Anyway rant over, just feeling a bit sorry for myself as I cant sit or stand or do anything right now!

congrats!! welcome to a whole new world lol!!!
am ready to stamp my feet and scream today am soo tired and i just cannot sleep, it really is getting ridiculous. doesnt matter what i do i just do not sleep wonder if this is an omen of things to come lol??What's for you won't go past you0 -
I think it's your body's way of preparing you caz! Have absolutely no solutions though I'm afraid.... Was it skintchick who's also waking in the night? I had that for a couple of weeks but it stopped again... Unless I waake for a wee in the night, then it takes me a while to drop off again...
Sparkle, don't blame you for snapping at the girl either, I would of done too. I hate people that don't control their children in shops! Have you mentioned the aches to your midwife? I think I read somewhere that it is possible for your pelvis to drop on one side and make one leg longer than the other...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Greent: I'm sorry but that p word sends a shiver down my spine, someone told me a horror story that was probably wildly over egged once but it scarred me for life  Mind you I'm sure I scare some of the 1st timers with my tales of peeing my pants! :rotfl:
I've just seen a moses b in mothercare sale for £28 :T
Hah! Well, as well as a prolapsed womb I also have prolapses of bladder & bowel (they protrude into the v word) - the bladder one doesn't help the fact my pelvic floor is shot to pieces - and if I'm sick without an empty bladder I pee myself!- as I'm being sick several times a day atm that's not funny!!!! (Sickness mainly due to horrible phlegm on chest from this cold bug though - I feel SO rough - you can tell I'm bad - Dh says I look bad and is coming home early:j )
The hyseterectomy word has been mentioned after I have this one  - whilst I'm older then most of you (I'm 38) I'm NOT ready for that!!!
