So there were tons of complaints about off topic threads on the board? No, didn't think so. Pathetic.

We learnt the hard way, the previous admin team had been rather dictactorial and the members were leaving in droves, complaint emails were at an all time high and we were generally seen as being little hitlers.

So I changed it once I took over the site, we now have very few complaint emails, our membership grows year on year and we are seen as being very open to suggestions to improve the feel of the site.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I cannot believe it! I thought it would never happen! I have just thanked Dervish

But was it Martin's decision to move those threads? I think it was divadee on her own initiative. I don't think Martin is bound by that.
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

But Martin obviously has VERY VERY VERY little to do with the day to day running of this site unlike our friend Sue.

This has been a SYSTEMIC failure and therefore the response must be above and beyond the ordinary report abuse function.

ADMINs need to be informed and made aware as to the depth of feeling here.

PS - you have been one of the most disrespectful posters in this thread by the way you insulted the general mass of posters!

so a thread about a car park full of new cars unsold is about house prices is it?

A thread about the honda team being up for sale is about house prices is it?

A thread about jeremy clarkson talking about car prices is about house prices is it?

A thread about recession in Germany is about house prices is it?

NO they are not, yes they are about the wider economy but they are not about HOUSE PRICES. Until the mse team change the guidelines and/or the name of this board to house prices and recession and the worlds wider economy I have to follow the guidelines.

Divadee - you've taken a sensible approach. Don't let the HPC mob try to bully you into doing what they want.

Unfortunately, with this action you'll be ruining a few peoples social lives...

If they're not happy with what you've done, tell them to set up their own forum and moderate it themselves.

    Hi, Mr & Mrs Moderators

I am one of the offenders who has had their post removed to the Elephants Graveyard.

Where my fellow posters and my posts haven't been 100% about House Prices they do reflect 100% of the issues affecting House Prices. They allow general pasionate discussion on the state of the housing market and give members of the public a valuable insight into where the market is going.:embarasse

I thought this forum was designed to save people money . What better than a sub forum that discusses the issues on the most likely most expensive purchase in someones life. Remember this is one of your most popular and alive sections of the site with a large loyal fan base.

All we want is our posts back and to debate the issues around house prices so we know when to buy.:(

  • Lightbulb moment.

Maybe there should only be ONE forum entitled 'Everything'. Is there anything that cannot be related to House Prices?

How about 'I got a speeding ticket' - and had to pay the fine from my house deposit saving fund.

    What a pathetic post!

What you have now done is suggest that the only people upset here are HPC people. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!

So you have set the battle lines and you have CREATED a schism and a feud where non existed. You have simply used this mess to have a go at the ideology you dislike. How childish.
