Any abuse reports MUST go through the abuse@moneysavingexpert.com e-mail address. Reporting a post using the warning triangle in each one goes through this address as does clicking on the link in the orange bar at the top of the forum. Do NOT report abuse to Board Guides. This does not count as being reported.

DO NOT reply on a thread. ONLY report it to abuse and let the forum team deal with it.

Please bear in mind the forum operates on a report-an-abuse system. The forum team does not read all posts. Action can only be taken on posts reported using the above methods.

Yes but that system was initiated to report a small number of individual abuses across the whole website.

What we have seen here this morning is an INSTITUTIONALISED, SYSTEMIC foul-up of the first degree.

Can we not go above and beyond this system and report this balls-up to an Admin or to Martin himself?

I reckon Martin has been tapped on the shoulder he is up for a minor 'gong' in the New Year's honours and needs to purge the board of anything bad about the the 'Dear Leader'.

My point is that I don't want to report abuse, I want to complain about a point of forum moderating to the admin of the site.

Reporting an abuse of moderating power to the moderating team is not exactly going to get us anywhere is it? The moderating team will close ranks and just agree with the moderator who has done the deed.

Sorry to be obtusive this morning but I like my quiet Sunday mornings off season, I like to be able to read about the main topic plus it's little offshoots in one nice little section as we have been able to for months and not go chasing all over the site trying to find things I have been actively involved in.

I couldn't even find the moneysaving arms unless someone linked to it.....I tend not to go that far in the board (still trying to find moneysaving old style!) and to tell you the truth, I wouldn't even think of looking there anyway for that sort of information as the few times I have been there, it has all been about the sort of thing to read in the lower end newspapers which don't interest me at all.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I use the same email as you for abuse

they are the ones who make the decisions ,and loads of people contacting them about exactly the same thing will only make their job harder , if someones emailed abuse then they will look at this thread and make a decision

the forum abuse team are seperate to the Board Guide team , so you are not reporting it to the same person

Let the lunatics run their own asylum as they see fit. As long as they can discuss what they want in here, they tend to leave the boring house price discussions out of the selling and renting forum (with the odd annoying exception), where people are looking for genuine help to real problems. This forum was started for a reason, and it wasn't to discuss house prices.
Been away for a while.

I will no longer reply to any messages on here, I have given the board guides stance on this. Board Guides just follow guidelines nothing else.

Your tinfoil hat is broken, you are radiating funny ideas, but it is an interesting thought nonetheless.
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?

I find this thread quite abusive tothe board guides. They have been given their guide lines and they stick to them. Not always an easy job I'm sure but without them we would have more conflict and an untidy site.

With many threads once the initial question has been answered it moves to discussion and to the wider public. Personally I can't see a problem with this and can't understand you over protectiveness of particular threads.

As for picking on Divadee is ungentlemanly and uncalled for!
