Why have numerous relevant threads been moved to discussion time?

You are amissing the point here the guidelines are for discussions about house prices, when/if mse change the guidelines the posts will be moved back if the abuse and mse team agree. I dont know why you cant carry on your discussions in the discussion board.

I fail to see any post here which amounts to abuse.

half a dozen members have voiced criticism before sunday breakfast and I'm sure more will follow.

maybe we can reach a compromise: if future threads ref. economy can be left in situ, we'll overlook the 'posts moved' issue.

is this a fair offer?

divadee - could you very kindly explain to us how a thread on BTL mortgages being 71% in arrears could possibly be unrelated to house prices?

As a would-be FTB, I read this board closely to find relevant information to help me decide when to time what will be the biggest purchase of my life - buying a house. Eaxctly the kind of thing that MSE was set up to do.

As both a potential buyer and a current tenant at risk of finding myself and my young family homeless if what this article states is true, this kind of article should be ESSENTIAL reading on a House Prices board. I simply cannot understand how it could have been thought 'irrelevant' discussion. If 71% of landlords default, that will have an enormous impact on house prices, and also on tenants.

They discuss Premium Bonds on the savings and Investment board. Surely those threads should be moved to a Gambling board.

divadee is perfectly entitled to move threads as per board guidelines. When you registered with this site you agreed to abide by site rules. If you don't agree with them, appeal without personal attacks on mods, or even better, you know where the log out button is.

Stamping your feet and throwing your toys out of the pram cause someone moved a thread just makes you look like a sad looney.

I guess I'm in the minority, but thank you divadee for moving the threads to more approproate forums. I had started ignoring anything in this forum as it was such a mess.

Whew! There's a thread still open that hasn't been moved or locked. Even though it's not on topic? It's like being part of a rather weak and puerile fifth column.

A house price doesn't come about on its own. It's because of the other things we discuss here. Overall the board gives everybody a really deep and wide understanding of what's happening with house prices.

Instead, threads have been moved over alongside "OMG MY DOG HAD TWINZ INIT!!!"
