Blimey, I'd never read the board in question, and I'm amazed at the amount of personal abuse being dished up by some of its denizens.

The paranoia about some form of pro-government censorship in operation would be hysterically funny, were it not also a sad indication of detachment from reality.

Some of you need to tone down your obsessive compulsive attention to house prices, or if you can't at least behave a bit less manically on here
Problem is that it is the threads which are not manically focussed on House Prices which are being removed, and the furore is from people who want to keep the topic open.

    To the Moderators

Please can we have our board. Over the last few months property bulls and bears have had heated discussions. First time buyers have argued with buy to let investors about the issues. However today is the first day that these battling factions have come out in unison and put their disagreements behind them in a common cause. We just want the board back the way it was so we can debate the issues affecting house prices.

    Regards

I find this thread quite abusive tothe board guides. They have been given their guide lines and they stick to them. Not always an easy job I'm sure but without them we would have more conflict and an untidy site.

With many threads once the initial question has been answered it moves to discussion and to the wider public. Personally I can't see a problem with this and can't understand you over protectiveness of particular threads.

As for picking on Divadee is ungentlemanly and uncalled for!

    What he said ^ ^

I think Diva was quite right to move the posts.

The one about buy to let could have been put on the main homes and mortgages Board I guess, but:
    • The Zimbabwe post is totally off topic - it is not to do with house prices at all
    • The Clown is Dumb thread again, is off topic - it is not to do with house prices at all - it is to do with the general economy
    • Honda? That's about motor racing! It's not about house prices
    • New car sales falling? Jeremy Clarkson? They're not about house prices they're about cars!
    • Britain turning to Japan? That's about general deflation. It's not about house prices
    • German economy shrinking? That's not about house prices, it's about - er - the German economy!
    • Just back from Las Vegas? That's definitely not about house prices - it's about the US economy
    • Quantitive easing? That's about low interest rates and the government trying to get people to spend money. It's not about house prices
    • What's your Missus up to while you're on here? Is definitely not about house prices!
    • US Unemployment? Where' the house price in that?
Etc. etc. I realise some of you will say 'but it's all related'. OK, they are related but by that argument, then we shouldn't have any seperate boards on anything - it should all just be one big monolithic thread!

I think Divadee did the right thing. What you should all be lobbying for is for a separate thread about general economic problems so you can all post there if you don't want to go near the pub......

OK - I'll get my coat!

Erm the economy and the effects of it has a direct relation to house prices......

Those threads certainly belong in a board that is in the pure money section of the site and not in the anything goes discussion part. I tend to only look at the pure money sections and not the other bits although I do sometimes drop down to the competition threads.

Grrr at myself, I said I wasn't going to bother anymore but this has really got my gander up...not good for a Sunday afternoon!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

No, we don't want this mixed up with "OMG MY DOGZ HAVIN TWINS INNIT" divadee has put the threads into an inappropriate area and we actually want something separate.

It is not a thread we want, it is a board. Divadee is actually destroying the board which is fulfilling the requirement of the people who are there.

They don't serve you. You are here by privilege, not right. You owe Martin and his team the respect of a polite query if you have an issue, not harrassing and belittling the an aide. It's common decency.

Everyone is a big man when they hide behind a pc screen, when in reality they live in mum's basement.

Right, so you can howl and throw yours toys at someone following rules but you can't take criticism?

    My place? Yes massa!!!

It's not respect I can assure you as you have to give it to get it.

I for one will be reporting abuse.

So far 41 people disagree with you :rotfl:
