My connection has been gone for most of today and was very patchy over the weekend. I am only able to get on the net because I signed up with another ISP for their dial-up service. I have been waiting for my MAC for 9 days!

  • In case anyone doesn't know the freephone number it's 0800 0430040

I found it was very slow and now my broadband connection is restored it's better than ever. Nuria download speed 9 upload 7.9

That number just does not work for me.
It used to until a week ago.
    Now it either :
    a) is engaged
    b) It rings a few rings, then seems to be transferred to another number that rings and then I get a recorded message ststing that the other party has hung up !

    Anybody else had this ?

e7 had given me a different 0800 number before, but that is unobtainable now ( a bt like their broadband !)
    To infinity and beyond!
  • I have had similar troubles with the freephone number noted above. I had no broadband from 5th January till 23rd (despite trying all the alternative log in combinations) when suddenly my service resumed. The week leading up to resumption of the broadband I could use the freephone number for 4 days (prior to that I could not get connected with it at all) and suddenly exactly the same problem you are now experiencing began. No idea why, and I was just frankly delighted at the broadband coming back.

On the bright side, since my broadband connection resumed on 23rd all has been well. Fingers crossed and hope everyone else's service resumes as soon as possible.
    I love this site! :j
  • Like many others I have been without ADSL connection since the end of December and had only limited access to the 0800 dial up service. It is extrememely frustrating as after calling either their customer services or technical help many times I have yet to speak to anyone due to there being insufficient operators.

On the 25th Jan the network status gave out instructions which suggested that we should all now be able to connect but were using incorrect passwords/usernames and suggested a different suffix to try for 'bbuk' or 'e7broadband'. I have tried these in numerous combinations without success but wonder if anyone else has managed to log in with a different username and if so what worked.

I have also recorded a complaint with ofcom and in the meantime are using e7even's dial up through opensurfuk.com which gives 24hr dial-up access for 50p a day. The 0800 number they gave hasn't worked for me for over a week now.

  • Aside from rebooting a few times with the new username a while back its been fine here until recently when I started to get packet loss, as an example it took me 4 refresh attempts to load hotmail to get my account confirmed here to post this.

Hasn't been ideal but seems I've been really lucky in comparison to many people.

    Found this: http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=e7even&Number=2246428&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=

    Statement from E7 apparently.

Wonder if it will ever end and if maybe they'll finally upgrade those of us who paid extra for the 8mb speed increase (possible) back in mid-December?

Has anyone been able to get their e7even mail today or get onto the e7even site? Ive not been able to receive mail since Friday in fact this is the first time Ive been able to use broadband since Jan 2nd apart from a few min. last wed morning. No contact with e7even until last week when a guy named Scot rang me and gave me a 0884 no. to ring to get on the internet and told me to forward the bill and e7even would pay. Its not much point in mailing folk if they cant get on the net to read their mail. Any feed back would be greatfully received.
  • I've had a couple of emails since last Friday but as I usually get loads of spam this is very suspicious. I've been online most of the time and I can get onto http://www.e7broadband.com website but the most recent update on that is 17:11:22 25-01-2006. which doesn't explain this latest problem with the email service.

I'm having problems with both Ebay and yahoo mail. I'm having the same problems from 2 separate PCs over the same connection. Could that be an E7even problem?

All this time I have been fine, I have changed my name to @e7broadband.com since 3 weeks ago.. but last night my broadband has stopped. It has not worked since 6.30pm last night. I am at work now.

Do I wait or contact e7 to let them know i have a problem?
