They told me the marker has not been removed, and they could not say when it would be/if it would be. I was advised to ring e7even and ask them to cancel it. They could no understand that e7even are no more, and I have noone to call from that company. She went and asked her manager and apparently he confirmed all she had just told me.

I'm at my witts end, and would appreciate any advice.
    Thanks.
If you check out the ADSL guide forum here you'll find that acccording to normanmark, markers will cease at midnight tonight. He knows his stuff. His post is here
"I stated last week that orders recieved from Tiscali Wholesale had a required by date of the 24th. That means that the order will close at Midnight of the 24th & consequently they'll be able to place their order with their new supplier on or after the 25th July (Tuesday)."

bearing in mind thats e7 customers who were on the Tiscali Wholesale network, not the BBUK/Netservices one! If theres no cease on file, then theres nothing we can do to raise it unless specified by the customer of BT Wholesale :)
  • Im on the bbuk network....what do I need to do. This technology jargon is woooooshing past me :-(

I haven't signed up yet, but Evo1 is certainly top of my list.

However, the FUP and shaping issues may not suit everyone - however, it seems to fit my usage like a glove...

Most of my email, internet browsing and VOIP usage is during daytime, lighter in the evenings. Some downloads from http/ftp sources (Linux ISOs etc.), and only occasional p2p downloads, but I'm happy to schedule any downloading to occur overnight on a CCTV server - so I shouldn't be anywhere near falling foul of the FUP.;)

I've been with eclipse since april (after I managed to get a MAC to get away from E7.) I've been very impressed.

I'm trying to get my parents off e7 and onto something else.. not sure what yet..

The marker has now been removed from my mum's line and we're free to find an alternative provider. Better find a company that will be a little more reliable this time!

Thanks to everyone in this thread who has provided advice :D

Looks like my marker has gone too!
Now I've just got to decide who to sign up with.

by the looks of things the marker has been removed on my line.... but now i have another problem. when i check my number via the prodigy site, here is what it says :

We have detected a BT product on your line which may cause problems with ADSL We have detected a BT line sharing device (commonly called a DACS) on your line. This is something that BT will need to remove altousthat BT has used a fibre optic to provide your telephone line.

During the ADSL install this will need to be replace with a copper line and this may cause a delay in activating your line.

Now, if i have had broadband on my line for a year and a half now, why is it now suddenly unable to take broadband?
I appreciate your help on this one everyone.

    Many many thanks,

    Phil
