AP wrote:How am I going to find out when the marker is removed if I am not signing up to BT Broadband? I tried to sign up for AOL and the screen says that "Our records indicate that there is already an active order for this telephone number". It is now past 14th July and I am concerned that the cease has still not taken place.
You cann check the status at http://www.prodigynet.co.uk/menu.php?page=dsl .
The cease can tatake up to 2 weeks to be done by BT once the order for the cease has been placed. To infinity and beyond!0 -

Just wondering if you mean the bit in bold is for the extra 2 months added for all the problems earlier this year and the extra 2 weeks they offered before Christmas?
I'm just about to write to barclaycard with all my info but can I claim for this additional 2.5 months?
thanks for your help

I doubt very much that you could claim for these extra periods as you have not actually paid for them. Could even be considered fraudulent?0

You can claim for the other times when the service was not provided - i.e Jan - March. You paid for the service which you didn't get.To infinity and beyond!0 -

The update I claimed was for a payment of £19 to increase speed from 2mbs to 8mbs, which I never received. Natwest have been very good and refunded my payments within a week. I had a letter from them stating they were investegating e7 through their bank and the Visa network.

the only problem with trying to claim for the times when the service was not provided is going to be proving it, with the amount of money that they are going to be paying out some of them will be digging their heels in.
I should have been a bit clearer and said that if you didn't have problems then don't claim for it.
The extra two and half months seems to have been a blanket compenstation to everybody on E7 even if you did not have any problems. I for one did not have any problems with the service and I know of other people who also had no problems. Reading through some of the other forums there are people on there who also did no have any problems.
I'm not sticking up for them by the way, the way they have and others in this industry have behaved is disgusting and I fully support XJAG123 in his crusade.0 -
Advice needed please.
I stupidly signed up to ezee dsl on the 11th of july to get back online with the minimum of disruption. After several hours on hold, two conversations with the service clowns in India and an email to support I am still not connected. I have checked my status on the "medusa" portal page and it shows me having a dial up account but not the adsl account that I signed upto!
After a quick scan of this forum I checked my line on the link to prodigynet and it says
"We have detected an existing ADSL service on this line but it appears to us that the service is in the process of being cancelled."
What should I do.0 -
Thanks Sean, Mike and Bob. I hadn't thought about the Jan to March period when there was very little access.0

Bustedstuff if you want to get out of ezee have a look at the posting titled
"How to cancel your ezeedsl contract" posted by rex_mundi, on these forums. Also have a look at https://www.adslguide.org.uk Look at their message board, do a search for e7even for more info.0
