Having spent a great deal of time "hanging on" for TT to answer, today I spoke to a lady in India. I informed her that TT aimed to connect me on the 17th of July, but they needed my MAC code, which I'm unable to get from e7even. I told her that the understanding is that about the 14th, all tags/markers will be lifted. She said to ring again on the 15th to have the line tested, if they've been lifted, TT will proceed and connect, if not, TT will approach BT (presumably Wholesale) and have the line cleared. This might just be of benefit to someone else. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Talk talk are unable to remove any markers that are on the line from another provider. Any service provider who doesnt own the service on the line is unable to remove a marker (ie. service) that doesnt belong to them!0

Did anybody print a copy of the T&C's when E7even switched to Ezeedsl, I only read them at the time they switched and have just read them again and I have just seen a line within a clause which I'm not so sure was there before, within clause 3.1 it says :- "The ADSL Service is provided on a minimum 12 months contract and the ADSL 'Wires Only' Service is provided on a minimum 12 months contract." Can anybody confirm whether or not it was there all the time.0

The 12 month minimum has been in the terms since the beginning of the Ezee offer. It wasn't made so clear on the signup page, but hidden all the time in the terms (which you had to agree to before you signed up).How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I just signed up on the basis that having looked in the cancellation part of the terms and conditions that i could cancel within 1 month unless entering into a 12 month contract. In addition when it went to world pay there was a mention of cancellation within one month.
i think you can just cancel within 30 days cant you?
hmmm having read the rest of your messages seems that i jumped the gun a bit.
I feel that at the very least weve been severely misled - no mention of the 12 months commitment other than in the small print. I was convinced having read the cancellation clause that i could cancel with 30 days notice.
I actually feel like ive been black mailed into signing up for this - no option to research other isp's and being told that i would have to wait 25 days to be reconnected if i did so..
there must be a legal option here - consumerdirect.gov.uk seems to say that i have the following rights..
Clear information about the goods or services before placing an order
A 'cooling off' period of seven working days, during which an order can be cancelled without any reason and a full refund made.0 -

you wont be able to get a MAC, the most E7 customers are going to get is a cease of broadband on the line0
