Scotty is correct, of course. There do seem to be a number of people in this situation.
If you have tried all the available logins with no luck, re-typed your password in, checked your settings, then it will be down to e7 not putting the correct info into the authentication system.
All you can do then is to send another email to them detailing exactly what you have done and asking them to re-check the authentication from their end.
If no luck with email, try writing to them snail mail with the same info, asking them to re-check.0 -

You need to try all the available logins.
Also re-type your password in.
But you can check the vpi /vci setup to be sure.
I don't have a Sagem, but i think it is similar to this:
Double click the diagnostics tool icon
or click the triangular icon in the system tray
click on the configuration tab
should be:
Protocol: PPPoA (sometimes called PPP over ATM)
VPI: 0
VCI: 38
any changes made, click on "Save Changes"
If none of that works, then either email or write to e7, detailing exactly what you have done and ask them to re-check the authentication details from their end.0 -

I agree with you, Ted. There is only so much you can do from your end. Once you have checked those possibilities then you have no option but to get e7 to sort it out from their end.
That's why i suggested you write to them if you can't get a sensible response via email.
But i would try to keep the letter factual, and not bring any emotion into it, even though you probably feel unhappy with the situation.
Good Luck..0 -
Yes, I went through the (random) "PPoA Authentification Failure" about a month ago and had the "auto-reply" to check my name and password. Impossible to tell from this end, but could have been some sort of network time-out at their end (as it was random at this end).0

I agree that civil and to the point comminication with E7 is preferable. I emailed them to ask them to let go of my connection so that I could get another supplier and they did reply in similarly business-like terms although it took them 24 hours plus.
As regards the modem settings, the best advice must be to change the bit that says username@e7broadband to newuser@AProperISP...Wins - 2004: Nothing, 2005: Zip, 2006: Nil, 2007: Zero, 2008: Naught, 2009: You get the picture0 -

Nope, they only step in 3 months after you have formally put your complaint to E7even in writing. They are totally useless and have no power at all it seems to do anthing.0 -
While logged in to my E7even account details I noticed that I could buy 30 days freephone technical support for £5
Years sub to the freephone support is £25
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS OPTION.
I phoned before 10am today to find that I could leave a message or wait till the Saturday opening time of 10am
At 10am I phoned again to be given 2 options
Leave a message or wait for an operator.
I chose option 2 to be told " We are no longer able to hold calls on this number, leave your details and we'll get back to you"
As I've been waiting for Technical Support ticket to get back to me by email since Monday 6th Feb without any response I suspect this £5 freephone technical support contract is as much use as the rest of their technical support. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program
