Give up on E7 - its easier than repeatedly trying, and stands a better chance of successful resolution IMO.Wins - 2004: Nothing, 2005: Zip, 2006: Nil, 2007: Zero, 2008: Naught, 2009: You get the picture0

My connection hasn't worked for two weeks now. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. They don't answer emails, don't answer messages and haven't given me my MAC code I asked for 3 weeks ago.
It seems I can connect to there server, but I just get the Windows errors message displayes.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do???My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

It's driving me to despair and I really can't see why they cannot contact me with a possible solution or do the decent thing refund my money and provide a MAC. It just isn't fair to keep people without any access to the internet and without any hope of a resolution to the matter.
According to E7. If you are not part of the BBUK network, there are no problems with your connection. Either this or it is completely your fault for not entering the correct username.
Now, it is obvious from the amount of complaints that the info given out by the company is completely false (this looks likely to head off the regultators). What they are saying, and what a lot of people are experiencing are two different things.
If you paid by credit card, I see that a few people have now had charge backs completed by their credit card company against E7 for breach of contract. If you are still (after 6 or 7 weeks) having trouble, and getting no response from support. Maybe it is time to realise that the best option to restore a fully working internet connection is to cut your losses and change company. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Ted, you need to go into your router setup, (as you do for changing username) then check the setting, change it if it is wrong, then save settings and reboot router.
Here are some modem standard settings to compare:
Protocol: PPPoA (sometimes called PPP over ATM)
VPI: 0
VCI: 38
Encapsulation type: VC MUX
Authentication: CHAP
I think you may already have set your IP and DNS to something like *Obtain an IP address automatically*
and *Enable automatic assigned DNS*
If you have problems checking, tell us which router, then perhaps we can give some more info0 -

Invalid username or password error means the information your are entering does not agree with the information held on e7's servers. E7's ostrich reply to this is that all there systems are working and they see reports of many attampts to log on using incorrect usernames and passwords. However, there are too many people, many who are very familiar with what they are doing, having the same problem as you describe. Many report this error occurring after they have had successful connections and have not changed their settings (i.e. they are definitely using correct username and password). To me it is obvious that somehow the information held on e7's servers is wrong. The hard part is trying to get this message to someone at e7 then to get them to admit thst this could be the case and correct the fault.
All I can suggest is that you raise an email ticket reporting the fault. Don't hold your breath waiting for a reply. Perhaps if they see enough reports of the problem they may realise that something needs to be done.0
