impy78, question since I take it you work in the post office as well, is it me or have the £50 cashback (or similar aka £25) been on offer for nearly a year now? Also wonder what is better value the £25/£50 or a chance to win a car.

With regards to this insurance business., thru THE POST OFFICE.
All rather confusing when trying to buy on line, through the Post Office.
Last week, bought Car insurance, obviously taking advantage of a referral site, and the Post Office own £50 Cashback offer.
This week trying to buy Buildings & Contents Insurance, on-line, through the Post Office. But this is not possible, as they deem that because you have taken one policy with them, that you are now their customer, so you have a standard policy number.
When filling out the quote application for Buildings & Contents, this is unable to be completed on line ??
Subsequently called the given telephone number, spoke to Customer Services, who then proceeded to make out another quote??
The whole crux of the exercise, is ON-LINE QUOTED £118.85p.
    TELEPHONE QUOTE £154.00
So, the system works, in "guiding" policy holding clients away from the ON-LINE to obtaining a TELEPHONE QUOTE, which is much more expensive.
Still awaiting any e-mail replies, as directed!!

Hi Travesti, did you receive a reply to your email? I went through Quidco and signed up for House Insurance (so would receive £18.00 through Quidco and £50 postal vouchers). Then tried to buy Car Insurance (£45.00 through Quidco and £50 postal vouchers) and it wouldn't allow me to buy online as I was already a customer even though it was 5 minutes afterwards!!! I phoned customer services and they said I could buy the car insurance over the phone, but that way I was miss out on the £45.00. Am thinking of cancelling the house insurance and requoting the car insurance through quidco?

wilcock you might be class as existing customer if cancel cause already on database. Little tip for everyone for the future to avoid the risk if thinking of doing car and home, do car first so will at least get the biggest cashback first (in the bag)

Thanks Iceburn, I phoned them up this morning and apparently I have purchased both as they are on the same reference number?!!? I have emailed them to ask for confirmation, and that I will receive 2 * £50.00 postal orders and will check quidco the amount that they pay!

Sorry been away for a bit...!

    Er,

They have had the £50 offer one since Jan 06, but there was an offer for £25 postal orders from march - nov 05.

I would go for the cash...you definetely get that, you only have a chance of winning the car.

I went with PO as with the £50, it would have worked out cheapest. I haven't received the £50 yet. the 28 days are up on Wednesday. Should I be worried?

    Hi,

My car insurance with Budget expired on the 19th Feb and i consequently moved to the Post Office due to them being the cheapest becuase of the cash back (like yourself).

I was sent several letters asking me to confirm my no claims bonus which i eventually did over the phone and then received my £50 approx. 10 days ago.

I would give them until the end of this coming week then contact them.
