I bought the policy before 31 march, it came into force on 1 April, haven't heard anything since. I phoned them yesterday and there is a prerecorded message saying that the policy needs to be in force for 14 days then you receive the £50 within 28 days from here. Has anyone received their money who took a policy out late in March?
    Thanks
    Flo

Hiya just a note that we have been advised it would be 28 WORKING days, so if your policy started on 1st april, you should receive by mid-may at the latest.

we rang up last night and got told that offer only applys if you have a code and that you can not got the £50 cashback over the internet so we ask to speak to the supervisor who said the girl was wrong and we will get in a month or so.

The girl who told you this is speaking out of her proverbial - ALL car policies and ALL combined buildings and contents policies set up between 03/01/06 and 31/05/06 will entitle the policyholder to the £50 vouchers.

The deadline is 28 WORKING days, which I am so annoyed that they did not put in the documents, as I am taking no end of calls from angry people about this, who are then further annoyed they have just had to pay for a call for us to tell them this.

  • Hi I took out a policy approx 20th march through topcash (£45.00 back).
Got the postal order for the £50 no problem (THANK YOU ROYAL MAIL!!!), but no sign of the cash being confirmed even on topcash site.
Has anyone had the payout on this?

Did it through Quidco and had to put in an enquiry, originally said £45 cashback but enquiry has gone through for just £15.

Will still be happy if I get that though, as it was the cheapest quote and
have already spent the £50 postal order.

Not sure if this has been posted previously but........

Post office insurance offers a £50 cash back until May 31st.

I purchased mine through Quidco and got £45 back from them but no sign of the £50 from the P.O. as yet. I was going to chase them tomorrow but thought I would see how long others have taken.

I thought it was tooooooo big a bargain to remain for too long! The Topcashback / Quidco refund has dropped to £16.50 now but its still a £61.50 saving.
I save so I can spend.

What was the date you purchased the insurance? And what was the start date of the insurance?

The cashback can take up to 28 working days, you have to take off all saturdays, sundays and the recent bank holidays as well.

So for instance - if you took out a policy on 1st April, you would get the postal orders on or around 11th may.

I took mine out on the 8th march, they charged my card on 13th, but no postal order has arrived.

If some are saying they have received theirs maybe we should complain.

    What does anyone else think?
