• I totally agree - can't get anything from Blackhorse. We were missing mirror panels from wardrobe and have managed to get local glass shop to cut some to size but not as nice as the ones we had ordered. All I keep getting is 'the administrators will be contacting you' but not sure about what to do when we have to start paying Blackhorse.
Has anybody refused to pay them?

after all the Trading Bargains 01405 number is only a few digits apart from the MFI 01405 call centre number!!

Hi, can you please help with quoting the full telephone number, 01405 ???? for Trading Bargains since I'm not getting through on the 0845 0722 478 that is on their web site! Tried lots of times without success. I get through and the line goes dead for say 30secs and then rings again for a few secs and then dead for ever and ever and ever amen;)

I have tried contacting them by email but have not yet received a response to an email I sent middle of last week.

Thanks for your help.

I sent another email to Trading Bargains, shortly after posting above, and they telephoned me back within, say, 30mins. I have placed the order and Trading Bargains say delivery within seven days.:T

For anybody interested in the telephone number I did a 1471 and found their number to be 01405 744 851. Hope it helps.

Hi All

Like many I am looking for some advice. Got my MFI kitchen delivered in August. Unfortunately 2 doors were missing and some trim was damaged. After a bunch of unwilling to help people I finally got the replacements ordered up. They were to be delivered on 4th Dec.....I imagine this is not going to happen. The kitchen is fitted (with the exception of the missing items).

I am devastated that I am now left with an unfinished kitchen in my first home. I took out MFI Finance with Blackhorse which I am currently paying.

Can anyone please give me some advice on this?

Many thanks!!

Do you have to continue paying for the finance? Can you refuse to pay any more until things are put right?

Not exactly the same but similar. I was missing approx 5 items from my kitchen and I tried to claim the whole lot back from Barclaycard. My claim was passed to Customer Complaints and a manager contacted me asking me to phone tradingbargins to see if they could supply the missing items.
Fortunately they had the items I needed and I ordered them, paying again on my card and they were delivered on Monday. The service was great.
Barclaycard got off lightly as my claim was for over £7k and they go away with paying out £600 approx.

You could refuse to pay the finance (be careful as this will affect your credit rating), but I would call trading bargins - get a price for the missing items then phone/write to the finance company asking them to pay for the additional items or ask them what they intend doing to resolve your situation.

Good luck

Have you tried trading bargins? Be careful as they try to quote you more than you originally paid. Haggle with them.

Trading Bargins

I ordered my items. They were very efficient. Called and updated me, text me day before delivery and then the driver called on the day.
My goods arrived on Monday - fantastic a finished kitchen at last!!

TB have opened up as from last Saturday at the old MFI unit,Hollingbury,Brighton. You might recognise a couple of faces!Only bedroom units and a couple of office suites at the moment. They told me that they are getting four deliveries this week with more stock arriving anytime.Only some of the then current kitchen ranges and only Hygena NOT Schreiber. Not able to split ranges to supply doors or handles only.THey do have quite a few appliances and are expecting more.No upper market brands though.

I am still able to supply handles if needed either through here or e.bay.(NO CHUNKY SPACE) a.christie@btinternet.com

Hope this might be useful to some.
