Those admins are bunch of theives, I spoke to Adrian Miller on his mobile and did not get any useful answer. He said we will put info on our web site but it is the same info and the only thing changed is the date !
I phoned the guy in warehouse and he said they only have Kutchenlab in store and nothing leaves the warehoue without admin's permission, my order is Shriber Verona.
We really need to take some actions to push for our case, those idiots admin think we Brit happy to wait forever. I emailed BBC watchdog and I am thinking what next course of action to do.
Why do not they make up their mind? Just say no you will not get your order so we knwo where we stand.0 -
I have today emailed city editor at Guardian, I suggest we all email as many papers as we can and see if we can't get this some coverage0

I spent an interesting couple of hours reading the Administrators Report dated 5/12 last night and it didn't make good reading. MFI owe money everywhere, the current total listed as owing to creditors is £7.1 million and they are predicting that there will be around £600,000 ring fenced for creditors-bit of a shortfall. I believe that we, as customers, will be bottom of the 'non-preferential creditors' so likely to get nothing (sorry to be so doom and gloom).
What makes me really angry is when I see the amount of money MCR are showing as their fees for 1.5 weeks work-some £184,000 already! They will obviously be first to be paid and with those sort of fees there will surely be no money left in the pot....
This all needs to be reported more in the press. Like someone else said, there was loads of coverage for Farepak customers. Without sounding too harsh, most of them only lost small sums of money and went without Xmas presents, which is nothing compared to some of us who may have lost thousands and are living without a kitchen also.0 -
I have just spoken to AIG re MFI's Furniture Insurance, they say that if you have paid for it then AIG will honour it, even if they themselves do not receive the money from MFI.0

I have to just get on and fit my kitchen, can't wait to see if the other bits come, which i don't think will come i have ordered worktops and corner units from howdens and my fitter said they will fit,i will have to claim back the missing items fro my amex card.0

My 73 year old mum is completely without a kitchen having had her old one removed and the MFI delivery didn't turn up on 26th.
My brother has tried to claim the money back from Natwest credit card and was told he couldn't until MFI confirmed cancellation of the order.
My poor mum is in limbo - we'll have to go and order a kitchen from somewhere else, but what happens if MFI then say they can deliver her kitchen??0 -

Actually they owe over £14.1 million, it's £7.1m to trade creditors and expense creditors and a further £7.0m of customer deposits paid by cash/cheque/debit card all of which is classified as non preferred. The words Bob and No Hope spring to mind.
The only chance of some people getting anything out of this mess is that they are actually able to work out what stock in the warehouse actually belongs to MFI (rather than a supplier they haven't paid who has claimed Retention of Title on the goods), decide which customers will get it and find some way of delivering it.
I am surprised about the lack of publicity but having said that by initially making the statement that they intend to refund all customers it has diffused the situation as far as the press are concerned. There is no story for the press if they do not think anybody is going to suffer.0
