Hi, I received confirmation on Dec 21 that my cashback claim was accepted. I received a cheque for £360 this morning... so TMO do pay out... Thanks again to earlier posters who cleared up a few things regarding T&C's0

Just a quick update for you. TMO replied to my PM on 12th Jan, and said they would dig out my paperwork and get back to me the following week - haven't heard anything since.0

4 weeks ago I received my cashback cheque (claimed end of August and taken through small claims); however, the £30 court fee was not included so I emailed TMO (the pm box was full at the time) and they replied on 4th January that "a cheque is on its way for the difference" - nothing yet received - this all seems to be a process of wearing down our resolve so that we can't be bothered to put in a second claim (mine's due next month but I'm determined not to give up)0

Well by 4th bill arrived today so I am starting my cash back claim. I have typed up a covering letter and enclosed my first 4 bills an also my despatch note and sending Special Delivery.
Hope all will go well will keep you posted in about a months time.0 -
I have just sent the message I posted on this thread last week to forumqueries@themobileoutlet.com to see if they will reply to my query regarding possible shortfalls in the amounts I have received in cashback from them. This will be the third time I have contacted them on this matter and I do hope that they reply to me this time.
Has anyone else been concerned that their cashback amount was not as much as they expected? If they queried it were their concerns answered?
BTW I have had the first cashback for each of the two phones I have through TMO with no difficulties and I am very grateful about this.0 -

Hello there,
I think there might be a problem with the email address, it should end with co.uk and not .com! I also sent to the .com address, and received no response, but once I had resent with .co.uk I did at least get a reply. Have a go - you've got nothing to loose??0 -

You must use .co.uk when sending any emails.

I've ordered a 12-month free contract from the Mobile Outlet a couple of days ago, it's all by cash back redemption, but now I'm starting to feel a bit nervous about it since they haven't sent me a confirmation email yet. I know its been New Year but these things are normally automated aren't they? (I also forgot to note down my order reference number assuming they'd send me an email, but I guess that's my own fault)
Can anyone vouch for The Mobile Outlet? Do they pay up? Or do they play hard to get? Do I have any cause for concern?

nilocmac - me too, first stage posted today. Also sent phone/tariff/cashbach that I ordered, highlighted page of t&c applicable at time of ordering and dextra solutions dispatch note. I also warned them it was coming on all their e-mail addresses and a pm on here..........
TMO - sorry if you think it's overkill, just want to you to know that the claim is complete and in accordance with the t&c. Here's to a trouble-free claim, guys !!......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
OK I have held off for several weeks before posting here to give MO a chance to sort things out. My 1st instalment of cashback is unpaid and I have heard nothing from them in reply to several emails sent to the forum queries team over the last three weeks. I have given them every opportunity to sort things out before posting here. Do we really have a realistic hope of getting our cashback refunded- will they even be in business in a few weeks time? Reading this thread it seems the omens are not good.
They originally promised I would be paid my 1st instalment when they acknowledged receipt of my cashback claim and told me it had been successful. They also promised me that they would authorise my cashback via Quidco (which MO had so far refused to pay) by emailing them, which they have not done. Since then- no contact from them at all.
Lets face it it's been ages since they responded to any posts on this board and one wonders if they are in the process of going under- why else would they continue to run a business in such a hopeless fashion with customers relations so totally shambolic?
I would suggest the only practical option for anyone whose cashback is overdue is to claim it back as detailed elsewhere in this thread via 'Moneyclaim online’ https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp -MO may not have refunded some their £30 charge for using this service but it’s still a lot better than getting no cashback at all.
Advice to those thinking about using MO for the first time? DON’T! This thread surely tells you all you need to know about how they operate as a company. Use someone else with a better reputation and track record such as Mobileshop: you may pay a bit more per month but you will get your cashback. Is it really worth all this hassle to try and get cashback you are ENTITLED to?0
