bwtj wrote:OK I have held off for several weeks before posting here to give MO a chance to sort things out. My 1st instalment of cashback is unpaid and I have heard nothing from them in reply to several emails sent to the forum queries team over the last three weeks. I have given them every opportunity to sort things out before posting here. Do we really have a realistic hope of getting our cashback refunded- will they even be in business in a few weeks time? Reading this thread it seems the omens are not good.
They originally promised I would be paid my 1st instalment when they acknowledged receipt of my cashback claim and told me it had been successful. They also promised me that they would authorise my cashback via Quidco (which MO had so far refused to pay) by emailing them, which they have not done. Since then- no contact from them at all.
Lets face it it's been ages since they responded to any posts on this board and one wonders if they are in the process of going under- why else would they continue to run a business in such a hopeless fashion with customers relations so totally shambolic?
I would suggest the only practical option for anyone whose cashback is overdue is to claim it back as detailed elsewhere in this thread via 'Moneyclaim online’ https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp -MO may not have refunded some their £30 charge for using this service but it’s still a lot better than getting no cashback at all.
Advice to those thinking about using MO for the first time? DON’T! This thread surely tells you all you need to know about how they operate as a company. Use someone else with a better reputation and track record such as Mobileshop: you may pay a bit more per month but you will get your cashback. Is it really worth all this hassle to try and get cashback you are ENTITLED to?
Hi,
It would appear you have not received the reply we forwarded regarding your email. This will be resent to you shortly. We have emailed Quidco to confirm that your sale was generated through TMO and that your commission through Quidco should be paid. We will arrange to have both emails to be resent. Please PM if you have not recevied the emails within the next 24 hours.
A cheque for your cashback was raised at the beginning of last week. This covered your first installment and should ahve been with you by now. If you wish, we can pay your monies via BACS and cancel the cheque as it should have been delivered by today. Please let us know how you would like to proceed?
Regards

Hello, just thought i would update this post. I had no response by mobile outlet and so followed on with a moneyclaims online. Have received confirmation that mo have the summons in hand so have to decide whether to cough or dispute. The form for moneyclaims online was straightforward and took 5 mins to do so i would recommend them as a last resort to anyone. fingers crossed and good day to you all0

Amazing to get such a quick response from MO on this thread, having waited weeks for a reply to any of my emails: the power of a public forum cannot be denied. The fact remains I have not received any emails from them or a cheque. I will keep you posted here with any progress or developments.The_Mobile_Outlet wrote:Hi,

Paulee wrote:I have just sent the message I posted on this thread last week to forumqueries@themobileoutlet.com to see if they will reply to my query regarding possible shortfalls in the amounts I have received in cashback from them. This will be the third time I have contacted them on this matter and I do hope that they reply to me this time.
Has anyone else been concerned that their cashback amount was not as much as they expected? If they queried it were their concerns answered?
BTW I have had the first cashback for each of the two phones I have through TMO with no difficulties and I am very grateful about this.
Hello,
As others have already said, I think it is a problem with the email address that you are using, but I queried the cashback amount I received, because I expected it to be the same amount as the line rental on the first 4 bills which I sent to them. They emailed me back within a couple of days telling me that the cashback is sent in equal installments. For example, I will be owed £360 cashback over the whole year, and it is paid in 5 equal installments of £72, and nothing to do with the line rental shown on the bills which have been sent in.

Hello all,
They just confirmed my cashback (as well as both my friends cashback)
They seem reliable enough, albeit a little slow. As long as you follow their terms and conditions correctly, you will be fine.0 -
Sorry I obviously didn't read the thread properly. Nontheless I think I speak for many when I express concern about the way MO operate and their poor customer relations. Should there be good news to report I will pass it on immediately...grayme-m wrote:13 hours is 'ages'.....0

Some good news from me is that MO emailed my wife to say that they were processing her claim.
What is potentially not so good is that it said we would receive payment within 28 days of receiving her claim which should be Friday....Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
