I didn't send them in via Recorded Delivery, as there was no mention of it on their webiste or terms and conditions sent with the phone. I went to the time and trouble of getting dupes from Orange, and they still say they won't pay out. I did everything they asked of me - and I'm feeling as though it's all my fault. I have no idea what to do next - any ideas's out there?
I've got some great advice from this forum, all you need to do is following:
see 12 months of your contract out, apply properly for the second part of your cashback, dont panic if they refuse to pay it.
Next stage, take them to court, using 'Moneyclaim online' https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp.
Name them as 'Mobile Matters (UK) Limited' on your claim, at their usual address0 -
Hi,
I emailed the forum queries mailbox and was promised a response within 48 hours.... this was just before xmas. Despite many chase emails I have yet to receive a response.
I PM'd The Mobile Outlet on the 15/01 but no reply. Are PM's ignored?
thanks
I have also been chasing a cashback claim with E2save, for over 12months now, they keep fobbing me off with "it's in the post, please allow upto 60 days". I spoke to consumer direct who suggested writing to them which I did. This letter's been ignored aswell as its been 6 weeks now.
Can anyone help ?

I,ve been following this thread since Nov, after reading the first few messages I panicked! Ive got two phones with TMO on £30 tariffs. I contacted TMO through the forum, and after getting automasted responses, got quite good feedback to my questions a day or so later. I recently submitted cashback claim and got a reply about three days later to say my cashback had been accepted (although Im still waiting for cheque)
I had to phone them a couple of times during the ordering process and was on hold for about 20 mins, and phoned the operator whom I found to be very unfriendly/ unhelpful. However, from my experience and from reading the replies on this forum, the guys (and gals) on the Customer services team seem a lot better. They do seem to be getting a lot of problems resolved.
Anyway, the point I (finally) want to get to is this... I have a total of £720 riding on me getting my cashback.... I wont see a penny of it if TMO goes bust. So while I can FULLY understand the frustration people feel when they believe they have been badly treated, bear in mind that there are loads of others who want it to survive or else we'll lose a lot of money. Yes go to the small claims court etc and I hope you win , but please dont crow on about wanting to see them go out of business, because then we all lose.
Thanks to those who posted earlier with advice on postage etc.0 -

I've tried to email the Forum Enquiry Team yesterday (19th Jan) and have just received the following message "
Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:
forumqueries@themobileoutlet.com
Message will be retried for 2 more day(s)
Technical details of temporary failure:
TEMP_FAILURE: Could not initiate SMTP conversation with any hosts:
[themobileoutlet.com (1): Connection timed out]
" Why is everything so difficult ??0 -
What is the cashback address to send the bills to!?
I cannot seem to find it anywhere on the website or in the paperwork they sent me when I received the handset.
Am I missing something?
What is it? And where did you get it from?
Thank you.0 -
Here's where I sent mine to:
Mobile Outlet
Suite 3-4
3/4 Riverdale House
Dockfield Road
Shipley
BD17 7AD
Hope that helps - and don't forget to send it Recorded Delivery!0 -
And it got processed fine?
Just so I know, where is that stated? Is it just their usual addreess.
I ask as they don't provide an explicit cashback address like other companies.0 -
Ahh .. sadly it didn't get processed (because they say I didn't send it Recorded Delivery) nor did I ask for an acknowledgement. However, I did eventually get a response stating that although it had eventually been received - some 6-7 weeks after I had sent it, they were not able to process it. I'm now in the middle of challenging their decision so watch this space (plus see my past posts further up the page!)0
