    Hi,

The date quoted by our customer service advisor refers to when your claim was uploaded to our cash back system and not the date the application was received.

    Hi,

As previously stated we always advise claims to be forwarded via Special Delivery which guarantees your documents to be delivered the next working day.

My point exactly... as previously stated even using Special Delivery, the next working day might fall outside of 21 days allowed, or perhaps you should refer in your T&C to 21 working days as well in this case.
  • Hi,

I've never claimed cashback before so I'm slightly worried and apprenhensive about my cashback from TMO after reading the comments posted on the forum...

I've got a few queries though. I'm currently in my 3rd month of my contract but I was sent my 3rd bill in month 2 and therefore I am expecting my 4th bill later this month. I was sent my first bill from O2 after 2 days within receiving the phone - is this right, should I be treating this as my first bill??

The T&Cs state that I need to send bills 1-4 in month 4, so am I supposed to be sending them next month - if this is so, will they receive it in time for me to claim the cashback? Or does the bill I receive in month 4 of my contract count as the 4th bill???

    I'm really confused.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
I'm paying about £35/month and I don't want to lose the cashback...

PS Could someone just clarify what EXACTLY (I mean an idiot's guide to...) should be in the letter I send to TMO as well? Thanks so much!
  • Not sure if this helps you or not as it's all so confusing!

I sent the following to the forum query team

    Hi,

Could you please confirm which bills I need to send in to claim my first cash back. My first bill is dated 12 October and includes 2 charges 19 Sept - 11 Oct and 12 Oct - 11 Nov. My 2nd bill is dated 12 Nov and is for 12 Nov - 11 Dec. My 3rd bill is dated 12 Dec and is for 12 Dec - 11 Jan.
As the 1st bill included 2 months am I correct in assuming that it would be these 3 bills and the despatch note that you would want in order to claim my first cash back or do I have to wait until I receive my 4th bill which will be dated 12 Jan?

    Thank you

    The reply

    Hi,

You would need to wait until you received your fourth bill before sending in your claim.

    Hi,
If i send my claim form two days before the end of the 21 days, and you do not upload the claim until 15 days or more, then what has happened to the claim? What does that say about when the cash back will be received?
  • I emailed MO a week ago about a cashback claim using the address recommended on here. They originally promised me a response by last Friday. Since then they have missed several more promised deadline (see below) and have now gone suspiciously quiet.

Why have you not kept to your own deadlines and now stopped responding at all Forum query Team?

  • Wow, I guess people are still having fun with these guys. Anyways, I'm about to claim cashback for my other phone. I've done everything they've asked me to do and so I will be hopefully receiving my cashback sometime around 28 days (as I've heard how they will most likely not meet this time requirement). I will let you know how I get on.

Also, if I don't get my cashback I won't even bother waste my time further and stressing myself out, I'm just going to go straight to the small claims court. Good luck with the rest of you guys!!! ;)
  • I'm involved in a real saga: got a mobile phone from themobileoutlet last November, didn't want it, cancelled it, sent it back, got a message saying it hadn't been cancelled, phoned them (they confirmed it had been), phoned Virgin (it hadn't been), emailed them (they confirmed it had been), phoned Virgin (it hadn't been). This is where I'm at, with a customer service that has twice told me the phone has been cancelled, and once told me that their manager would be told and they'd phone back the next day (they didn't).

Virgin are now sending me nasty letters about owing them £70 (I cancelled the direct debit on themobileoutlet's instruction) and threatening to turn this over to the bailiffs.

Really, I'm just posting this here to vent. And give me a valid reason to email forumqueries@themobileoutlet.com.

I'm also having problems getting my cashback. I sent in my docs but I'm told they never arrived. I didn't send them in via Recorded Delivery, as there was no mention of it on their webiste or terms and conditions sent with the phone. I went to the time and trouble of getting dupes from Orange, and they still say they won't pay out. I did everything they asked of me - and I'm feeling as though it's all my fault. I have no idea what to do next - any ideas's out there?

did you ask for proof of sending at post office, if not, i'd say your chance to get the cashback would be pretty slim, as the Mobile outlet is a kind of company would do everything to prevent paying. Good luck. I've got my last cashback to claim soon....
