The Mobile Outlet: any good? (merged)

I still haven't had a response from them regarding my contract length. I sent them my email on 27th Dec. All I got was the standard auto-acknowledgement. Ain't had nothing else since then. Terrible service. I don't want to ring them as they either don't answer the phone or you are on hold for ages.0

wahiad wrote:MOBILE OUTLET are a company that you DO NOT, under any circumstances, want to be dealing with. Not only do they come up with the most pathetic excuses not to pay your cash-back but they also avoid your complaints and do not follow THEIR OWN 'Terms and Conditions'.
They make it out as if you are the one in the wrong and refuse to listen to what you have to say about the matter. They do not keep their end of the deal but still manage to get away with it, as they deny any form of contact you may try to make with them.
I, myself, purchased a contract with the Mobile Outlet and due to a little misunderstanding, I was denied my cash-back. Even though this misunderstanding was cleared, within enough time, they they still refused and said that I was the one not sticking to the T&C. Because of this, for the remainder of the contract duration, I will not be receiving my cash-back and will be paying the full amount every month!
Just a few words of advice, be careful not to fall into the cash-back trick with this company, as you will regret it!

Hi I've got a bill with "this payment is overdue" due to me setting up a direct debit 2 weeks before the next bill and orange not taking the amount out of my previous bill. The T+Cs for mobile outlet say any late payments renders the application for cashback void.
Firstly, is there any point in me even sending my bills off, if I include the letter from orange confirming my direct debit payment over a week before the "overdue" bill?
Secondly, since the T+Cs don't use the phrase "entire cashback will be void" like it did earlier, does this mean I could in theory claim the rest of the cashback, possibly with legal action?

Wahiad - email the forum team and follow through your case - there isn't a poster on this thread that hasn't finished up satisfied - if you check through you'll see.
Yes dealing direct doesn't seem to work. So you have the benefit of the experience on this thread to get a result - don't spoil it before you start.0 -
