Thank you Nytram91 and Reestit Mutton.

I have sent an email to the forumquries team after Reestits comment about the stages in whcih i must claim being a grey are because i ordered after July.

Surely though the terms and conditions i received are the ones i should go by, if there are any problems than i am in the right?

Hopefully the queries team can answer as to whether i must claim in 5 or 2 stages?

Thanks for your help again, I am just making sure that i am pro-active and do not experience any problems.

Kind regards, oh and Nytram you will get your cashback!

    Hi again,

Given your stated situation I guess some clarification is in order...

Yes, you are not unreasonable in thinking that the T&Cs you received ought to be sufficient. In fact, although I am not a lawyer I would go so far as to say that I believe that the law would be on your side in this instance.

The Mobile Outlet have acknowledged that their despatch company mismanaged the change of terms by continuing to despatch old terms with all orders for some time after 03 July and this is one of the reasons why The Mobile Outlet has set up the forum queries email address.

As I am not directly connected with The Mobile Outlet I cannot say exactly how they will deal with every such case where confusion arises. However, it would seem from recent history that they are dealing with these cases sympathetically....and long may it continue this way.

Anyway, I wish you luck (here's hoping that you don't actually need it)

    best regards,
    Reestit Mutton
For anyone wishing to contact me privately to ask me a question, can I ask that you email me directly as my PM box is often full.
  • Hi all

It's now 13 days since the forumqueries team told me that I'd be paid within 5 days ... and the money has just arrived into my account ... so thanks to TMO and the forumqueries team

2 final points though. I was scared that I was going to lose out big time over all this so in discussion with 3 I went onto their lowest tarriff last week. If I only send off my 11th and 12th bill for the remainder of my claim, how will TMO know what to pay me ... i.e. how will they know when the change was made?

Finally, can I again ask for return of my bills in the stamped, addressed, recorded delivery envelope that I provided?

    Regards

    Nytram91
  • Can please someone confirm that Mobile OUtlet let you add addons, eg Yahoo GO! internet, and dont use this against you, claiming you have broken terms and conditions of money back by initiating an addon for a few months?

Reestit Mutton thanks for your advice.

I had emailed the queries team and they had replied the very same day saying that the t&c's i had received were the incorrect ones and that i must send for my cashback in 5 stages.

I will ensure that i print the email for reference!!!

So for those who have received a different set of t&c's to those on the website, certainly email TMO to confirm.

    Kind regards.

    hi

to confirm you are to follow the terms and conditions you accepted at the time of your order, regardless of the new ones.

if you could also when claiming just send in a copy of your terms and conditions.

    kind regards

i have a problem currently and was wondering if TMO team could help me.

basically in oct 2005 i took out a contract of 12months with 10 months free via cashback. i had the terms and conditions were i had to send bills 1-6, then 11 and finally 12. ive sent in bills 1-6 in time and successfully recieved part of the cashback via cheque. since then i also sent in bill 11 as requested.

finally i have sent in bill 12 approx 30+ days ago and havent heard or recieved anything. i sent it off via recorded delivery on the 10th oct 06. i have been in touch with mobile outlet via email and was told although my documents were recieved on the 11th oct they werent processed/logged until the 16th oct, this means my 28 days would start from the 16th. it is now the 29th day and still nothing. i have sent another email just today regarding my situation and am awaiting a reply.

as far as im aware i have fully complied with the terms and conditions (bills sent in on time, all originals, etc) and have even read the terms and conditions again to make sure i havent done anything wrong. i am 99% i have complied with the terms fully, therefore i am asking if TMO can look into this matter for me. if you need my order details please pm me.

well coincidentally i recieved a cheque just today for the remainder of my cashback. it seems my claim was successful but just delayed as it has now been 30 days. so overall pretty happy now. i think TMO need to improve on communication though, as i emailed them many times in last weeks or two and i keep getting a reply like "your documents have been recieved etc etc...".

if they had told me that my claim is in progress and will be fine then i wouldnt have to chase it up all the time. thankfully i recieved it in time, as i had just finished finalising my formal letter which i was going to send them regarding my situation.

I bought two phones/contracts on 10th June. T&C state send bills 1-6 at 6 months and bill 11 & then 12 all within 28 days.

I've had my 6th bill today from Orange but I've only actually been connected for 5months. Is this right?

There is no address on T&C to send cashback claim to, does anyone know what it is?

Also what is the contact email address for TMO? I'm scrolling through this thread looking for it.

  • Hi,

Please submit your first 6 bills - the fact that you have been connected 5 months will have no influence on your cash back claim.

    Cashback Address:
    Cash Back Department
    The Mobile Outlet
    3-4 Riverdale House
    Dockfield Road
    Shipley
    BD17 7AD.

If you have any further questions, please contact forumqueries@themobileoutlet.co.uk.

  • I'm experiencing some difficulties at the moment and can any one help me.

I've bought a motorola l6 on o2 on MO and recieved it on saturday. Then on monday i've got another parcel from MO and it turn out that they have sent me another motorola l6, this time, the despatch note is different from the first one (it is from dextra solution instead of the o2 company). i've checked my account on MO website and i have definetely only ordered ONEmoto l6.

I phoned the customerservice and they've asked for the reference number-the first moto l6 has the correct reference number on the despatch note but the second one that's just sent now has the a bunch of numbers WITH another bunch of numbers printed on top it, making it very very hard to identify which one is the actual reference number. anyhow, the reference number for the second phone is wrong.

what should i do now? I dont need 2 motorola l6!!

    Thanks.
