Hi, i was so grateful to find this site and so many helpful people.

I had ordered my handset on Tuesday and received it yesterday. With the t&c's.

They say to claim my 12 month free line rental cashback i must send off bills in 2 stages (month 6 an 12).

However the website t&c's state it is a 5 stage claim.

I would be grateful if someone could confirm what to do. Will let you know if i have any cashback probs.

    Kind regards.
  • Hi,
My story is pretty simple compared to your suffering,
    1) the promised bluetooth headset in my contract has never come to me, four weeks passed.
    2) another package which was refused by MO, while the 1.99pounds still has been charged and never be refunded.
3)the future cashback is under a lot of uncertainty according to your guys experiences, Who knows.
Many e-mails went to MO, no responses, what a waste.
  • Hi as9au ...

Check what this means ... it could mean on receipt of your 6th bill which may arrive after just 5 months of connection.

And check whether bills 11 and 12 need to be sent seperately.

However the website t&c's state it is a 5 stage claim. This might be for claims which total more than £200 ... again ask the forumqueries team to clarify.

I am in a similar position that is not receiving my bluetooth headset which was the reason I decided on the MO. I have phoned twice and led to believe that I should be getting it soon. Have not resorted to writing to the Forum Quiry Team will give them another week.

As to Cash back well I guess it is a case of wait and see
  • Well, I ordered a phone from the site before I found you :|

Anyway, it is £35 a month, and Free Line rental (12 months). Deal was a bit better than anything I could find so I bought it.

    Now I am !!!! scared :(

Anyway, I ordered on Thursday night, and phone was there after an impressive 36h on Saturday morning.
The phone was in good shape, had the charger/software/usb.
The documentation was perfect - had the terms and conditions + the dispatch note.

Now, I have to get cashback in 5 stages and I know how to do it. Doesnt seem too hard tbh, I have done cashback with someone else twice with 3, and got my money back. So my question, is it worth relying on Mobile Outlet now? I mean, this time they seem quick and efficient enough and I know all the actions to take if they do decided to reject me when i know I am right - take them to court.

Another question - I am planning to get Yahoo Go! 10Mb (£2.50/month) addon on top of the line rental. Would/Could MO by any chance use this as an opportunity to say that I have broken contract terms? Am I allowed to use addons on top off contact, and still get the £367.50 (i.e. just total line rental back)? I know I will have to pay in full for addons, but are we allowed to use them?

Another thing - what is the minimum period of contract of addons and how do you cancel them? I only need Yahoo Go! for 3 months. What next?

    Cheers folks!
  • Anyone know what's going on with their website? I need to see some T&C... hope it's not down for some modifications...
  • Nytram91 thanks for the reply.

I am claiming full cashback for 12 months which is over £201. The web states its a five stage claim.

    The tanc's i received say 2 stage.

I think it would be sensible to stick with the t&c's i received, so claim back in 2 stages. Do you agree?

I will send off after my 6th bill(so 5 months connection) because that is what it states.

I must also send bills 11 and 12 seperatley.

    Thanks again.
  • Hi as9au

I'd contact TMO through the forumqueries team links which you'll find higher in the thread ... or send them a PM ... they've been really good and I'm sure will confirm which Terms and Conditions you should refer to. At least that way, you'll have their advice in writing. In fact, maybe the forumqueries team could answer this question publically here on the forum for all to see?

    Hope this is helpful

    Regards

For the record, I have it on authority from The Mobile Outlet that they have no intention of modifying their T&Cs just now so you have nothing to worry about on that score.

What's more, even if they did modify their T&Cs they would only apply to new customers, not pre-existing ones.

    Hi as9au,

I'm not connected with The Mobile Outlet in any way other than by virtue of the fact that they are one of the retailers listed on my website. However, I feel that I know enough to clarify your situation for you.

If you purchased your contract prior to 4pm on 03 July 2006 you will be assessed under the previous set of T&Cs i.e. you will need to submit bills after months 6, 11 & 12.

In particular, if you purchased prior to 4pm on 03 July you should NOT have to include your invoice with your first claim - if they fail your claim on this basis you should contact the forum queries team via the email address provided on this forum as they will have failed you in error.

However, if you purchased AFTER 4pm on 03 July then you are in a grey area as the T&Cs you have received would not be in agreement with the T&Cs that were in force on their website. If this is the case it would be important to contact the forum queries team for further guidance. In particular, I would request whatever they tell you in hard copy form with a signature for your own peace of mind.
