It'd be interesting to see the Mum & Dad, but also don't Breeders in general either have the Mum or the Dad & not both? They have either mum or dad or sometimes even both but you can see both parents if that is your wish The Owner has both. I googled Bengal breeders in the area but all that comes up are Bengal x BSH's, maybe they're bred on purpose? They are £150 each & not vaccinated, now Breeders vaccinate at least the first course I know, so even if an accidental mating surely you'd want them to be done too? They are wormed & frontlined apparently & Vet checked. Bengal breeders only let their kittens go two weeks after their second jab at 13 weeks old.

Think i'll ask her to not get one, at first I was like awwwwwww I want it but then I started thinking & doubts crept in! If she wants one and is willing to pay the price then she should, i see no reason why she can't have a lovely kitten as long as she knows they are moggies and not pedigrees, i would though ask her to wait until they are at least 10 weeks before bringing one home So glad I have this forum to ask all my questions on, oo another thing, these were on one of those Preloved type websites, forget the name. Now don't most breeders have their own websites? Wouldn't they advertise on there? Yes most breeders do

I'll print this thread off, i'd believe people here over the Owner.
  • £150 for a Moggy is alot! Up to her but if the Owner has lied about the breed to make money i'd wonder what else she's lied about? Like health etc. I love yours can I have him? lol

I think they are both moggies and they are taking their chances. if the white one is a true BSH it should have papers stating this. I have had 2 white cats and they look just like that one.

at the end of the day none of the kittens are pedigree anything so they are moggies. doesnt matter that mum is a true xxx and dad is a half xxx the outcome is still moggie kittens, I would walk away.

I agree with Jenhug. I didn't think to say about the pedigree papers. paying £150 for a moggy is expensive and i'd rather save a few more hundred pounds to buy a full pedigree. You can get ex breeding pedigree cats that are selling for just the cost of neuturing. If she really wants a pedigree why not she go through that route? The kittens are lovely looking though.

Cousin has been offered a Bengal x, this is the Dad, is he definitely a Bengal or a Moggy (I can't tell i'm no expert!). What are the breed like? From what I read on a rescue site they can be demanding? This is a Bengal x but still could have the full Bengal temperament! Any advice I can give? TIA

Coming from a bengal owner I'd say that is definately one. Probably a late generation though, you will see all manner of different bengals, like the above, with rosettes, white, silver, brown......

There is no chance a cross is worth 150 though!

I'd say it's cheeky asking for £150 and for an unvaccinated kitten!!!
NEVER buy an unvaccinated kitten no matter what it is!
If she likes the kittens enough then ask for a vaccinated one and pay what she thinks fair for a common moggie because that's all it is :)
And remind your cousin that paying this much for a moggy is why backyard breeders don't spay their cats... so long as people will pay £150 for a kitten like this they will carry on doing it. Either go to a reputable breeder or rescue :)
