she is a proper cutie - she has Meezer markings on her face - a tortie point :)

i used to have a rabbit too - he would play with my two cats every evening! very sweet to watch.

She has tortie on her paws and tail, and a huge grey spot on one side, and some gingery bits too!! Hard to get a picture with all her different markings x

Coming from a bengal owner I'd say that is definately one. Probably a late generation though, you will see all manner of different bengals, like the above, with rosettes, white, silver, brown......

There is no chance a cross is worth 150 though!

Just like to say that I think you may be mistaken.

That is definitely not a pedigree Bengal.

Definately a Bengal, you can tell just by looking AT him! I've kept different varieties of Bengal now for some 15 yrs,and I'm really surprised at the amount of bengal owners saying he is nt a bengal, you can see stright away from his markings, golden orangey tinge, nose shape and rosettes,he may not be the most typey bengal ever, but I d categorically say he was one,but I wouldnt pay for a cross, why not visit a breed specific rescue centre in your area??

He is not a Bengal, more likely a cross, in which case he would not be a Bengal but a moggy. So many Bengal breeders get frustrated with people saying that Bengal crosses are Bengals. If a kitten/cat has two Bengal pedigree parents then yes they are a Bengal, but if only one parent is a pedigree Bengal then that kitten or kittens are not Bengals.

I can clearly see he is not a pedigree Bengal but has Bengal in his generation, that does not make him a Bengal.

Show his photo to any Bengal breeder and if they say yes he is then I'll apologise, actually in fact i'll do that and i'll get back to you, thats if you don't mind me using the photo.

Lowis...thanks so much for the lovely pic of your boys! My fave type of cat. I had a chocolate Havana oriental...but sadly he was run over and killed at 18 months old. Too scared to get another but pics like yours tempt me...hehe!

He's not a full Bengal, his face is the wrong shape to start with, if anything he probably has one parent who is a pedigree Bengal and the other a moggy, therefore he is not a Bengal, just a crossbreed, meaning a moggy. It doesn't matter though, he's still lovely looking.

Oh Mely I am so sorry about your cat...i lost one in June to cancer (hence adopting T to keep C company), it's horrible when we have to say goodbye to them. Hope you are Ok now...i know it takes time.

If you are tempted...well I know of TWO orientals who need a home :) They are on the Siamese Rescue site, here's a link *tempts* :D

I agree, it's the face shape, (same when checking out the BSH) check the ear size and shape, and the jawline/skull shape.

Incidentally as Bengal and BSH have somewhat apposing face shape the kitties are unlikely to get the best features from both parents imho.

It does really sadden me that so many people buy cross breeds from "breeders" when there are so many kittens and cats in rescue.

Also most really good breeders will have waiting lists, won't allow accidental matings (too many litters are not good for the queens health), will vaccinate, won't let the kittens leave their mother at such young ages (as those few extra weeks are important to the kittens development of social skills), will have pedigree documents....
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Sure Kimberley use the pic! I thought it weird how the owner says she breeds Bengals but NOT BSH, so then has an accidental mating, so why is the BSH Mum not spayed!
