Hi sarah.
The best place to ask for help and advice about dealing with benefit entitlements and so on would be the Benefits Board. I've put the link in below for you:-

Hi to everyone, including all the new faces on the OS board:hello: .
Had my first day back at work, and was glad of a change of scene form being stuck at home. I raided my freezer to see what to take form my lunch. Ended up taking a bowl of Hm veg soup and a small bowl of red wine casserole ( was naughty and forgot to have brekkie, so ended up having soup in my break at 11o'clock, and casserole at 1o'clock!). Went to the local big co-op after work, and got 3 x sausage casseroles for 32p each (instead of £1.19 each), a pack of ham for 32p (instead of £1.49) and a pack of chicken slices for 46p (instead of £1.75) Ended up having one of the casseroles for tea, rest in freezer.
Decided to empty cupboard of all edible food before I go proper food shopping. Am in process of soaking some lentils and broth mix, for a surprise soup tomorrow! Also got my priority form from The Sun, for their cheap holidays. Have decided to try and go to Brean Sands, in Burnham On Sea, if we can get a place, in May. They start putting the tokens in the paper on saturday, this weekend.
Take Care

Hi Everyone :hello:
Im not that new to MSE but I am new to the OS board. Ive been reading for sometime but only over the last week or so have I started to post.
Ive decided that this year is going to be a year of change for me in so many ways and OS is a big part of that.
I went shopping on my way home from work and stocked up on things I need which I believe will last Hubby & I for three weeks to a month. All we will need to get on a weekly basis is bread, milk, fruit and veg. I spent £78 but that did include dishwasher tabs, liquid tabs, conditions, lou rolls and other cleaning stuff oh and cat foodI also needed to buy herbs which will last an age so I dont think I did too badly. I now have all the ingredients to make bol sauce, beef madras and chicken something or other LOL, I will make enough to freeze for later on in the month WOW I have a busy weekend of cooking ahead of me.
I also need to clean out my cupboards as they seem really full, someone mentioned here about doing an inventory.....I smirked at this at first but now I think its a cracking idea. I bet I could feed Hubby & I for at least 10 days on whats in our cupboard, there may be some strange comblinations but hey. Ohh maybe that could be our next challange??
Well back to it......Today I didnt really prepare for food at work etc as I hadnt been shopping, tomorrow however is a well planned out new dayIve already cooked my pasta :j
Im still trying to order my slow cooker, in a very brat like fashion I want it NOW, well for this weekend but Ive left it too late to get it delivered so now I have to treck over the other side of town to collect it as no where close to me has them in stock
Thanks for all the great hints and tips, I may even dust off my breadmaker this weekend.....oh baby steps Emma!
Happy New Year

I bet you really pleased, I think moving house is so stressful, what with unexpected drop-outs, and I know when we moved 10 years ago I was living out of boxes for ages. Once you find the place you want you just want to have it happen straight away. I can't see me moving again it would be too much hassle.
Good luck with your move Kiwi most important thing is to get your computer rigged up first so you can give us all of your tips on the BIG shift.

Morning All
Up bright and early with DS today, 5.34am. I wish he would learn to love a lie in like his sisters do, they dont like to be up before 8am.
Today is my first time seeing mil since new years eve and I am SO nervous I cant tell you, feel like being sick. She told dh she would come and see me either thurs or fri so am just waiting for her now.
Driving lesson went well last night, feeling confident about the test now. Only problem is the timing of it, 2.30pm so will be just in time to catch all the school traffic-EEK!
Going to try doing falfel today, I love them but have never done them myself. Will report on the success, or otherwise, later in the day.
BM needs to go so, as does wm. Coffee first though me thinks.
Chat later,
