Have done no work at all so far this morning!

WOOHOO!! I've just bought my Christmas present to self from Dad - ordered the digital camera which is currently being much talked about on the Grabbit board :D

And I've ordered a memory card to go with it :D Just need to check out Ebay for a case (but will have to do it this evening as Ebay is a blocked site on my work internet access :()

And I've renewed my brother's CAMRA membership (original membership was last year's Christmas present and I said I'd renew it for him this year - but was a bit late getting around to it :o)

And I've cancelled my next case of wine from Warehouse Wines (I signed up to them for a special offer intro case and stayed with them because they're good value, but normally say no to the automatic quarterly cases cos I wait until I've got enough money for 2 cases then order both at once to save on delivery (and sometimes get a special deal for buying more than one!) Budget will next permit a 2 case order at the end of March).

So I've been very productive from a personal admin point of view but not very productive at all from the point of view of getting my actual work done :o

AND I reckon I'll be leaving on time today cos my boss is away. I fancy going uop to Covent Garden for a wee bit of shopping - saw a bag which might meet my requirements, reduced from £60 to £30 in the window of Nine West on the piazza.

  • I am in work  the awful doctor is here barking orders  some people should be put forceibly on top of a :xmastree: :snow_laug

still feeling shattered and HAVE NOT SPENT ANYTHING today. However, had another raffle today at work with the "presents the patients brought in after christmas" goodies and I got a box of chocolates. another person got a bottle of port - doesn't like it so we swapped - I think I got the better deal!!!! Still at least I can listen to lovely Radio 4 in my office whilst I type. I was going to get OH to do rice and peas tonight but I think I will mail him to say get some chops out of the freezer - I really don't like it here and am just marking time until the stork decides to visit our house.......

Need to get those toastie bags as well. so i will spend something and the market's on so I may have a mooch for bargins..
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Back at work and just eaten a very nice Splendidip thing from Philidelphia - not OS at all but was only 75p and now i know I like it I'm going to get the bits to make my own tomorrow and OH made a cheese baguette to take with him too so looks like lunch money will be our cut back this month :money:

Off to post a CD I sold on amazon now and something OH sold online too - and I've sold another CD on amazon today too :j - only little bit of profit on each but it all helps :money:

Breakfast was finishing off Brioche from the weekend for me and OH had porridge and then dinner will be left over Chicken and Pasta bake from Sunday night as the food for tonight and tomorrow we bought at the weekend can easily be shifted forward a couple of days - so more money saving.

Fine being back at work - apart from getting up in the dark - but could have really done with 1 more day to get the flat fully sorted - at least 1 load of washing and finish picking anything off the floor for me when I got home I think.

Have a good day all and nice to see people reappearing from Christmas breaks and newbies too - hello to Ancasta, Scuzz and others

Thought I might join in your meander through the day.

My daughter is back at school on Thursday and then is away for the weekend with her Dad at Centre Parcs.

I have made an attempt at tidying her room with her this morning, I have been to Tesco to restock. I have emptied and filled dishwasher and I am trying to work up the enthusiasm to get on with the washing and mountain of ironing. Told OH that when he retires and I get to go out to work he is not going to get someone in to do the ironing he can suffer same as I have had to.

Had some crunchy bran for brekkie, dd had smash and beans!
    Will have pasta for lunch
Don't know about dinner maybe chops or maybe something lurking in the freezer.

We are on Slimming World plan so it is never as easy as it could be.

  • hello everyone!

well we have all had the lurgy over the holiday :( but on the plus side our cupboards are still pretty full :j

today DD1 went back to school - her packed lunch was 2 wholemeal pittas [reduced price] with cheese and ham and some carrot sticks :D

breakfast was a combination of weetabix and porrige
lunch was pasta and grated cheese [special request of DD2 who is 2 and has been off her food for a week :(

this morning we have been out and got
    1 - DD2 some new shoes  £25
2 - me a slow cooker :D for £4-99 [with nectar points] :money:
3 - me a maternity pinafore dress to cover up my chilly bump :rotfl:

DD2 is now asleep - DS is playing with his cars - and i am just gonna look thru the cupboards to see what i can put in my SC for tea tomorrow :D

celery soup for the children for tea - not sure what we are having yet but might defrost some of the bolognaise sauce and turn it into chilli [not sure if that is wise after a week of the squits tho :o]

washing is doing - and when DD2 wakes up i will make a start on sorting all the old clothes out of the babes room - we have stuff everywhere and i want to start getting rid of it [will keep stuff like babygros and vests but not much else gets reused so might as well go to a new home]
:rotfl:five children? I must be mad........ :rotfl:

    Afternoon all

DD's back at school this morning! Already missing them. Went out with a friend for a couple of hours today, she wanted to hit the sales, I went along for the fresh air. I was so good I almost can't belive it, I got DD's a sledge each (been promising them one for years) - they were reduced to £3 with a furhter 20% off today - bargin. Popped into ASDA for a quick look and got 4 rolls of ribbon reduced to 16p a roll, great for card making. My friend treated me to lunch (how MS is that!)

Need to push the hoover round, just taken clothes off airers and put away what doesn't need ironing - trying not to use my tumble drier so much, I can't have airers about when I'm working but most stuff dries overnight and the heating coming on at 6am gives it a final boost.

    Brekkie was toast all round
Lunch - Posh sarnies (Free) - DD's and DH tortilla wraps with ham and salad.
Dinner - Pasta with ham and broccoli in a cheese sauce

Want to be ruthless tomorrow and sort out DD's rooms and get their pressies all stored away - will do it while they're at school and they won't see the amount of stuff that's getting chucked or donated to charity!!

Just off to do my "paid to click" stuff then time to hoover before the school run, got afterschoolers today so nice to know I'm earning more than I've spent today!!

Hello to all the newbies too - welcome on board

Hi Yall, I've only just switched the PC on - to busy having fun. A real Ol'Style day.

Packed Mrs MATH back to work at first light and flicked on Washer, dryer, dishy and slo cooker and then procedded to hurtle through me jobs at breakneck speed.

It's day one of MATH detox and I think all this hot water/lemon juice is making me hyper:j

Bundled the kids into coats and went in search of free entertainment. We went to one of the nearby country parks and had a brisk three mile walk (MATHLETTS on scooters) and then home for hot chocoloate (I stuck to me hot water)

This afternoon we filled a batch of hot water bottles (the kettle ain't cooled all day) snuggled under a duvet and watch Narnia on DVD. We had to evacuate the cinema when I took the kids to see the new film yesterday due to a bomb scare. Thanks to all who posted advice on what to do. I rang the cinema this morning as you sugested and a very nice lady took my name and put me on a free to view list so I will go back a week on Saturday:rudolf:

I think the lamb casserole is ready (I popped a cheese cobler top on an hour ago) so I'm off for an early dinner.

MATHLETTS back to school tomorrow. I'll kinda miss them cos they've been sooooo well behaved and we've had some great (not spend much) fun.

    Catch ya tomorrow

Said goodbye to my boyfriend today as he was going back home to London after his 2 week stay here for xmas. I wont be seeing him again now until a week on friday. Hopefully it will go quick.

Spent most of the day tidying up as the house was in a mess after the visitors I had. Didnt spend any money today :j
