Competitions-do you just write your name and address on the postcards-or can you use an envelope?
Never done these before.

Hi everyone!
((())) to all those not feeling too good today.
I'm just back from holiday so work is hectic at the moment. I worked like a slave right up until my last day to get through everything I needed to do, then as soon as I am back it is piled up waiting for me. Hardly seems worth having time off!
My employer is having a crack-down on internet abuse (as if MSE could ever be thought of as abuse!) so I can't post at work now. Never mind, I'm hoping to have a career break this summer to spend some time with my son and have a bit of me time.
I might have a look at the competitions website. I used to do loads of competitions years ago. My biggest win was £1000, just after I had had my son. That money came in handy I can tell you! I won all sorts of bits of things. The thing is, the prizes arrive months after the competitions so you have usually forgotten about what you have entered!
My freezer and cupboards need a good sort-out as they are sadly depleted but I just don't have the energy tonight to re-stock. I'll have to last until the weekend.
Had to pay out £12 for DS to do a drama exam this morning. He's more of a footballer than an actor but all the class are doing it so I couldn't leave him out. Still I resent it a bit.
Amazon and Swap-it books are going well. I'm going to the Post Office about 3 time a week now, in my lunch hour. The queue was really long today. Car tax time of month I suppose.
Oh well, I'll go and get some food to keep me going. Odds and sods from freezer I think or some strange concoction from my cupboard.
By the way, has anyone else has problems with their BM during the colder weather? My once well-risen loaves are like bricks at the moment. I've just bought a new packet of yeast and some more flour to see if the helps at all but I suppose it could be temp-related?
Bye all,
chickadee

PP What I do is get a pack of printer labels and print off a whole load with my name and address on. Then I stick them diagonally on the left hand side of the postcard and right the name and address it's going to on the right.
On the Compnet website there is an abbreviation AIOE This literally means "All In One Envelope" You still have to put your name and address on each postcard the the title of the competition you are entering but they can then go in one envelope to whichever magazine is running the bulk load of comps. Some mags will accept entries like this and some won't.
It's a nice hobby to have and one that I have sadly neglected over the last couple of years but fully intend going back to now DD is at school.
I won 9K's worth of stuff in my first year of comping and at the start of last year had a lovely luxury weekend in London complete with trip to the ballet thanks to a competition win.
I'd rather forget about the year's supply of Powerade I won, 367 bottles all up my hallway after a huge Schweppes lorry dropped them at my door at 6.30 in the morning.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
