    Hi everyone!!
It's lovely sunny weather down here in Sussex!
Have sorted out the dry laundry and cleaned the bathroom today and just finished at work. Spent the morning doing college assignments- I definitely don't find it as easy as when I was 18. I suppose it's because I'm out of the habit and got other demands on my time these days. Oh well I managed to get a bit more done!
This afternoon I shall make the lunches and I think we're having mushroom stroganoff for tea. I'm also really going to have to do something with the muddy boots left over from our riverside walk at the weekend
However I have really exciting news [well I'm ridiculously over excited anyway]. The feature about OH has come out in the dollshouse magazine today. Haven't seen it yet but hoping to pick a copy up tomorrow :j
Think I'm need of a cuppa and a sticky blob [Be-ro recipe] to calm me down!!
    Regards

Today I've put SC on, 1 load washing on rads, another load in, hoovered and shampooed all carpets downstairs and mopped hard floors, hoovered and part shampooed upstairs - rest will do tomorrow, tidied and bleached all kitchen work surfaces, door fronts, handles, hob, sink etc, put away those 'bits' that tend to lurk in dark corners..... so IU've ended up with a quick shower and I'm now sat here in my DG with aTM[/QUOTE]

mrs tm, i feel dead lazy now after reading your post!! god u have done loads, way to go!!!

    Hi everyone:hello:

Just thought i'd catch up whilst DD is asleep, and it's taken me ages to read through all the posts!

So hello to everyone and all those feeling poorly/stressed etc ((((((((hugs)))))))).

Had a quick browse around waitrose this morning, mainly so DD can push a mini trolley around and pretend she's mum. Why don't more supermarkets have these, it makes for a peaceful shop. Picked up a few bits I forgot to order on line from Tesco. Then off to Matalan for a new duvet and cover for DD bedroom as she's now in a 'big girls bed'.

Washing's on, the ironing pile has grown to mammoth proportions (bit like this thread) but I shall tackle it another day

Dinner tonight will be homemade burgers and synfree chips with salad (guess whos going to slimming world). Weigh in tonight so am hoping to have lost another couple of pounds. Fingers crossed.

Ok that's my exciting day over with. have a lovely day everyone.

That and a friend of my dd's jumped in to the ball pit and landed on top of her, so now she is sporting a split lip.

Yum, another RC fan here! Got OH the RC Family Cookbook for Christmas, and have been very impressed with recipes he's tried from there so far. In fact, if he continues the way he's going, i'll have to nominate him for moggins's new challenge "by proxy".

This morning I had to queue at the DSS for 4 hours waiting for them to sign a simple form for me. That was fun. Then I bumped into a friend and we went for a coffee. Then I went to the library and copied out all the postcard competitions from the magazines. Came home and entered all the comps (about 20 of them). Tonight I'm cooking potato, cheese and bacon bake in he slow cooker:

Layer up potato, cheese and bacon and then pour over half a pint milk (or single cream if you have it) and a whisked egg. It takes about 4 hoursish for the potatos to cook in the slow cooker but you can leave it longer if you are going to be out.

    Afternoon all :hello:

The children have gone home and I've just marked their maths (numeracy) books, so I thought I'd have a "break" and come on here before tackling their literacy (English) books. Sigh. Why did I plan a "working in books" day today?

The whole school is being observed today and tomorrow by the LEA as they're worried about the results. Unfortunately, it's quite a tough school in a very deprived area with a low level of erm most things. The children are lovely, but the home support for most of them is very very limited. I think the people observing now realise what the "raw material" is that we're having to work with. Being a newly qualified teacher (NQT), I don't get observed :j :j. However, I did have one of them walk through my PE lesson this morning - I got some unofficial feedback that was very positive! Woohoo :j :j Luckily they walked through when the children were watching other performances and NOT flying through the air all at once!

I get paid today too! Such a relief as I'm going to Tesco tonight for the weekly shop. I had to pop into Asda last night for some bits for school and I managed to get 2 loaves of Hovis Best of Both for 10p each and some fresh soup for 36p, so I cleared the shelves of that (all 2 of them). Really chuffed with myself as every other time I've been in there I haven't seen those sorts of bargains. Might need to make a point of going in Asda on a Monday night.

breakfast: cereal with milk, cup of tea.
    lunch: sandwich, yoghurt, satsumas, banana.
supper: soup (36p from Asda), bread.

Have a good evening everyone. I need to go and do this other marking!

LOL - because my quote was not in a box like most quotes are, I started reading it and thought "wow, it's not just me then" then I realised it WAS me :rotfl:

dorry - do tell about the website - I'm interested. If you don't want to post it, would you pm me please?

Well, tea is over for another day. Next door's 9yo was the child from hell (again) today - he's very much like my 6yo so they fight and fall out constantly, but tonight he was answering me back and kicking the others then saying he hadn't etc. I know he's tired cos he was up last night coughing, but I've been thinking - maybe I could feed him sugar as soon as he comes through the door - he's always a lot better after tea. He usually just has carrot/cucumber/rice cakes (all of them if he can get away with it)

Mr TM is away out for the evening so I'm going to get boys in the bath soon and try and get them in bed by 7 (although I have promised DS1 he can watch TV in my room for 1/2 hr whilst I read with DS2) I still haven't found DS1's other school uniform - must be hiding in the ironing mountain somewhere - or todays will have to be washed pdq. Other than that - I shall treat myself to a small tincture after (ok - during) my ironing session :D

Tomorrow morning DS2 has another little friend coming to play. Mum has a baby so I can play with him without getting broody :D She's back to work in a couple of weeks :( Anyway - stops me going shopping :D Actually - have decided to go into the library and get a book on knitting. We have a chunky throw that was hand-knitted and I was wondering if I could make some - the woman who made ours sells hers for a small fortune (she's in USA) I'm sure some of you OSers have knitted these types of item before - any tips?

Ok then, I'm off to sort these little 'uns out and make sure homework is done. Have a good evening :j

Thanks to all of you concerned about my panic attacks! I must admit they are pretty scary and are quite specific, always in bed as im almost asleep, last about the same length of time before I get a handle on it and specifically about my own mortality for some reason. _pale_ I get a sudden shock thing as im waking up in a panic attack, and cant really breath or think properly, and takes me about a minute or so before I can catch myself and try and talk some sense into myself, but then cant sleep for a couple of hours :o . Im probably getting it 3 times a week at the mo, which I think is something that needs attention.

JW Sorry you're having a bad time. Those attacks really do feel "real" at the time don't they. Have you looked into any relaxation techniques to help you while you are having them. I used the Laura Mitchel technique which helps relax your muscles and gives you something to focus on mid attack.

    MATH

Thanks for that, I havent heard of the laura mitchel technique but will look it up as ive gotta do something, I feel like im a bit mad or something sometimes! Failing that then Ill get myself a doctors appointment and get myself checked out - finding the time is a bit of a nightmare though!

Moggins: - Thanks for coming to the fish pie recipe rescue for SomersetPrincess, I was at work and no external internet means I cant post during the day (probably a good idea as id never do any work!) - the recipe is pretty much the same as mine, and I sometimes vary it, for e.g use parsely sauce instead of white, add chives or sweetcorn, and often used sliced potatoes instead of mash as they go nice and crispy, add cheese on top, add crumbled crisps on top, or if im lazy use the boil in the bag cod and parsley sauce (on bogof at morrisons - £2.99 for 8 bags!) with some sliced potatoes done in the oven with stacks of butter and cheese on top! The variety is endless really, it can be as cheap or as expensive as you like!

This evenings dinner isnt actually going to be fish pie though, for some bizzare reason I pulled lamb out of the freezer instead of fish - doh! It will be lamb skewer thingys with onions & peppers, veg rice and salad.

Had a good day today too, it was productive business wise expecially in comparison to yesterday and got some team bonus too - which I will use to order next vouchers to send to next to pay off my account (although I may just spend some :D ), further reducing debt by another £130 :T . Informed boyf that rent is due in a week too so he knows he needs to find money, and his work is going to become more regular and more often soon so thats all good! :j

Hope you all have a lovely evening - im off to research panic attacks and how to stop them :)
