Hello to everyone
It seems as if the daily thread multiplies to 2 pages earlier and earlier! I know I'm a bit late getting on here, so it's my own fault I have to read for ages & ages before I get to write anything.
So, as I can't possibly remember everyone - hi to all of you!
It's a rather grey sort of day here, so the washing has had a quick go in the TD & is now mostly in the airing cupboard to finish off. Once again the D/w has had the day off, although it did get well used over the weekend when DD & her 2 babies were staying with us.
Dinner tonight will probably be meatloaf, as I can slice the leftovers for sandwich fillings tomorrow.
Have a good day!0 -

Yep, Hi from me too Frogger! The more the merrier, everyone has some contribution to make even if mine is only to tempt more people into buying kitchen gadgets
Well, I'm really pleased with myself, considering the state of my hands today, I have tidied the dining room as much as I can without being able to put away the stuff that needs to go in our bedroom (there was only a 18 inch pathway through it). I've done two loads of washing and got one out to dry. Loaded the dishwasher, sorted out tonights tea and tried to sort out the delivery of the bed
I just want to be able to get into the cupboard under the stairs so I can put away the boxes of christmas stuff but can't do that until DH gets up.
I've even sorted out his toolbox and fitted it all back together again (it comes part in 3 bits). It doesn't seem like I've done much but the house looks a lot tidier nowOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
Got up at 6a.m. - emptied dishwasher - fillled it again and cleaned cooker - sorted out clean towels etc.
Getting set to spend all morning ironing before spending the afternoon helping DH.
But - DD (12) comes into bedroom at 7a.m. looking really ill - she has a bad cough and has lost her voice. Phoned the school and spent the morning looking after her.
This afternoon she is on the couch in front of the gas fire watching television while I lurk in here.
The best laid plans of this rather large mouse are definately "ganging agley!"
Hug to everyone.
Tea will be vegetable kebabs and quorn burgers."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon
Havent done much Im afraid. House is clean and tidy and have moved £100 excess of last months grocery/petrol money to my ING account:j Updated all accounts and have made the various calls I needed to make. OH wiped down the wooden blinds in lounge and fireplace for me and swept through. He also did the kitchen for me.....he's a good'un.
Have tried calling SIL but no answer:rolleyes: so have emailed her and apologised. Know she picks them up regularly so fingers crossed.
OH has just posted some ebay parcels for me all re-cylced wrapping too.
DD is watching an animal programme whilst laying on sofa but seems alot better-so hopefully back to school tomorrow.
OH treated me to my fav baguette with coronation chicken for lunch and dinner I think is going to be Chicken breasts, cubed roasties, yorkies (will see how I am later) cabbage and carrots.
Thinking about dying my hair in the morning, but will see how I am.
Have a great afternoon.

Sigh ...... well, I've just reversed in to my mate's gate ..... damaged my car, sigh. DH says it's not as bad as I feared, but it's still going to cost several hundred to fix. aaaaagh!
That and a friend of my dd's jumped in to the ball pit and landed on top of her, so now she is sporting a split lip.
I am going to be very careful on my drive down South today.GC - March 2024 -0 -
Well, I WAS going to do jobs this morning and have a nice soak this afternoon - but of course that hardly ever happens!!
Today I've put SC on, 1 load washing on rads, another load in, hoovered and shampooed all carpets downstairs and mopped hard floors, hoovered and part shampooed upstairs - rest will do tomorrow, tidied and bleached all kitchen work surfaces, door fronts, handles, hob, sink etc, put away those 'bits' that tend to lurk in dark corners..... so IU've ended up with a quick shower and I'm now sat here in my DG with a towel round my hair, drinking a :coffee: I intend to make a leek and spud soup later, but will also do jackets and brocolli to go with casserole for tea. Then, after I've got DS's to bed, I will put the ironing board up in the living room and watch 'Eleventh Hour' which I taped last week (unless there's something else on)
Right - I'd better go and dry my hair or I'll end up with the highly OS acclaimed hairstyle as mentioned yesterday (sticky-out fringe and electrocuted hedgehog ends, in case you missed itMATH reckons it's the way to go :rotfl: Also, I don't think the aging bathrobe over the naked bod look is "in" in this part of the world - certainly not in the wind-tunnel that is the school playground  . Unless, of course, you can tell me differently
Luv
