Morning all :grouphug: to all, especially big ones to those who are ill or feeling yuk!

I'm shattered this morning. Went to bed early..ish last night and decided to watch the news to see Paul McCartney at LIPA to see if it's changed much since I left and it hasn't changed a bit :) Unfortunatly I decided to flick during the sports news and ended up watching ER/Graham Norton and the next thing I knew it was 11.30  Woke up at 5.50 (probably next door going out) and then went back to sleep until 7pm when all hell let loose as usual when OH came upstairs to have a bath  Well, when I say "all hell let loose" what I mean is him coming up is DD's cue to get up and go the toilet before coming in and shaking me awake even though 99% of the time I'm already awake! Meanwhile OH turns the hot tap on the bath FULL on and leave the bathroom door wide open (now sounding like Niagra Falls) and then puts the bedroom light on and has a shave using an electric razor (sounds like I'm inside a bee hive!) so I give in, get up and go to get washed etc after turning the hot tap off and the cold tap on (if we put both on we loose the hot water and end up with air in the pipes  ). Not the most pleasent of ways to wake up but the most annoying thing is that this happens on days when I can have a lie in as well! Only of a weekend is it quiet until OH wakes up and decides DD can come in our room for a bit

Anyways, so far today I've turned the beds back to air, got DD off to school, posted a birthday card for OH's friend and came on here to catch up while having a hot drink. Plans for today are:
    • wash the dishes (again)
    • add the none meal items to my shopping list for the month
    • take any brass (read numbers, mortice cover etc) off the front door that doesn't have to wait until tomorrow.
    • Start tea - cornbeef hash
    • finish drying the washing from yesterday and maybe do another load
    • make the beds.
They are the only "should" do's, I might have a bath and read a book once I've been on Neopets :o

Anyhow, I'm off to fill the sink with hot water for the dishes.

Hiya Jo - hope you start to feel better! I just wondered if you would possibly share your recipe for fish pie? I have some cod in the freezer that I have been meaning to turn into a pie but never seem to find a decent recipe!

    Thank you so much!

Crikey, it's ages since I've been able to post on the daily thread, things have been a bit manic.
We moved into our new offices at work yesterday, which involved me being out of the house from 6.30am to 9pm, so I'm having an easy day today me thinks. Actually I have to, as my laptop hasn't been set up for remote dial in yet, so I can't send/receive any emails anyway.
OH is on a late shift (11pm finish) tonight, so I'm going out for tea with a friend. It's also payday (hooray!), so I need to go stock up on wine at Asda. We got lots of "posh" bottles for Xmas, but no what I'd call everyday glugging, so I need to rectify that ASAP. I've already taxed the car on line, put last night's washing in the TD & now I really must get onto those cobwebs I spotted on the landing!

Hugs to those that need them, it's nice to catch up with you all.

I normally simmer the fish slowly for about 20 minutes until it's flakeable so I can remove all bones and skin. While it's simmering I then make about 1/2 pint of white sauce. Mix the flaked fish with the white sauce and some frozen peas and sweetcorn.

Top the whole lot with mashed potato, put in the oven on gas mark 5 for about 30 minutes or until the top is starting to brown nicely.

    Hiya everybody,

Moggins - kick kick. :D Oooops

We had a nice weekend away. The weather was warm :p but not hot. I have a bit of a tummy thing today. I think it's because someone was a little piggy with the cashews last night.:whistle:Cooked CQ chicken in the sc again today while I was at work. Beautiful, thanks CQ.:A I have some stock on now in the SC and it's smelling really yummy. I'm just having a surf before hitting the sack. DH is reading a book in bed, will leave him in peace;) and DD is watching telly. Hope you all have a nice day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all

Just having a swift cuppa before I start carpet shampooing - honestly :D I've put a beef casserole in the SC, am about to do a WM/TD/airer switch-around too.

Funky - hope your little one is OK. I remember my DS2 always got ill at midnight on a saturday night  I have visions of him sitting on my bed in a green sleepsuit, with a temp of 40.4, grinning from ear to ear. I don't think 40.4 degC sounds half as bad as 105 decF (or whatever it is) I didn't realise it was THAT hot, but I spent a long time with him sitting in tepid baths, trying to get his temp down. I think I've had him to the out of hours surgery 3 times at midnight now :D

Somerset Princess - lovely to see you're posting again. Isn't it great when you notice your bump :) However, I think the best bit is when your bump is big enough for everyone to know you're pregnant and not just getting fat :D:D 7 months was good for me (with DS1 esp) Tidy bump but not too big to be uncomfortable.

Anyway - cuppa's finished and these carpet are awaiting somepersonal care and attention and wished to be fully coiffed for the return of the hoards (or should that be wanting to be dry enough so that the crumbs that will invariably get dropped, don't get mushed in  )

Catch up with y'all later (to use a MATHism)

    TM :hello:
