well i didn't get any more sleep just rested for a couple of hours. did more work in the kitchen, had some homemade soup. emptied the car and filled our shed up with the remains of the car boot sale we did at the weekend.
we then went shopping and since we've been home watched another west wing. just finished series 5. have been grouting the bathroom while dp puts more tiles up.
still feeling off - turns out i had swollen glands cos my body was fighting an infection - so i've been pretty lousy. i was going to get an emergency appt at the docs but my glands went down today.
we rented some dvd's earlier as a treat. we got red eye, the business & four brothers. plan to veg out later with some tasty morsels yum.
we get blockbuster vouchers with tesco clubcard vouchers. we buy my mums at face value and use them for our dvd treats.
hope everyone is well

Hi all,
not posted much lately as have been so manically busy. Went for a training weekend on Fri and Sat for my slimming p/t business, which was really motivating. My group is doing well, and I have agreed to cover another slimming class in a different village on Tuesday nights. So that's 2 evenings totally gone each week, but I don't really mind as I so much enjoy it and the money is good for paying towards our holidays. We couldn't afford holidays (at least not abroad ones) if it wasn't for the extra jobs I do on top of working FT.
Today was back to work, it was ok though. Didn't do any housework except wash clothes yesterday, so this morning I went over bathroom quickly and emptied bins.
I'm back on my weight loss mission to ditch the weight I gained over xmas period- seems stupid that I gained it when my job is a slimming consultant but when you have a mad busy life the first one you neglect is yourself!
Hope everone's happy, must go,

Evening all!
The usual day today, fairly good at work although felt a bit dejected today as I tried very hard with little result which is always annoying. Ive had pretty much the entire contents of the freezer for dinner this evening as I was starving when I got back (No, not eating for two, feeding the cold! Everyone is asking me if im pregnant, which im not and dont want to be either!) and still need more. Im thinking the choccherry muffins might be the way forward this evening.
Plans are to laze on butt in front of the TV this evening drinking copious amounts of tea and then take a bath and have an early night, im determined that tomorrow is going to be a great day business wise and need my awake hat on. Have a lovely evening all.
Jo xx
P.S - I really am an o/s'er, the junk contents of my freezer has given me an e-numbers/chemicals/sugar high - I can tell ive been eating less rubbish recently by comparison!#KiamaHouse0 -
Evening everyone!!
Been at work today, so didn't get the chance to post earlier..can't believe (well, actually I CAN) that this thread is sooooooo popular!!!! Hello to all newbies..welcome to the OS family :hello:
Not much OS done today. Load of washing done (still need to take out of WM!!) and er..well..that's about it!! Mondays are a busy day for me (workwise) so don't get chance to do much else.
DS1 has decided he no longer wants to wear a nappy at night - great (you might think!) but his nappies have always been REALLY wet in the morning - NEVER had a dry one!! However, he seems really keen, and is quite upset about the nappy thing (he's 5 1/2) so we're giving it a go! Will lift him before we go to bed and probably once in the night _pale_ , hopefully there won't be TOO much washing in the morning!!
Must go now - I'm too addicted to this site and can't seem to get anything else done!!!

Good luck BB!!
And Yuk yuk yuk. I really have to get myself more organised, thanks to having to drive 9 miles this evening to give my dad his birthday present for tomorrow I have had to feed us all on some readymeals leftover in the freezer from when eldest DD lived here.
They were completely disgusting and even the kids wouldn't eat themOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I was about to do a search for an OS way to ease tired eyes when I thought I'd just have a read of this thread.
OS cure for tired eyes found!! Tears of laughter at today's posts did the trick wonderfully. :rotfl: :T :rotfl:
Off to set up SC so I can just throw the switch in the morning. Hmmm, think I lost the plot a bit last time I did this, I chopped the veg up, put it in the SC, toock the SC pot out of the base and stuck it in the fridge overnight. Problem was the fridge is small and the sc pot is big enough to take up a whole shelf almost. Later realised I could have bagged and fridged the veg then chucked it in the sc in the morning...Oh well......
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Morning Campers!
I'm sure by the time I've posted this, I won't be the first .... but hey!
This afternoon I am going down South until Thursday night, so very little OS will be entertained by myself, I will, however be leaving behind my meal planner for DD and DH, so we'll see how that goes!
This morning I am going to make some biscuit mixture for DD to do some cutting out and baking.
Have a good day everyone!GC - March 2024 -0 -
Good morning folks.
Very cold and frosty today again. Took hours yesterday for my feet to thaw out.
Another day at work so again list of jobs will be left with hubby.
Got offered new hours at work yesterday. At the moment I work Mon-Thurs 9:30 - 5:30 and every second Saturday 9:00 - 5:00. The new hours are Mon - Wed 8:30 - 5:30 and every Saturday 8:00 - 1:00. I have agreed to it. I think the prospect of a Thursday off was too tempting but I dunno if I have done the right thing. I am not a very decisive person and worry about everything
Dinner tonight is sausage, eggs and beans. Have sausage and far too many eggs that need using and this is easy as even hubby likes it!
Gotta go and get ready for work.
Have a great day everyone.0 -

Morning :hello:
Looks like I'm first (though I'm probably in the process of cross-posting with somebody ) - I hope that means that our usual crop of insomniacs (yeh that's you PP) have had a good night's sleep.
Had a lovely church party last night, then got home to discover that the wine company only seem to have delivered half my order  Must get on the phone to them once I'm at work.
Which reminds me, I should be getting up in a minute and getting ready to go, so I'll catch all you lovely people again later :wave:Operation Get in Shape
