Ohhhhhh, just watched last nights nip/tuck!!!! think i had guessed who the carver was tho, but not all of it!!!!
Have done quite a lot now, made HM soup for lunch (and rest of week), lasagne ready for tonight, WM done and hung up, bathroom and toilet cleaned, hoovered and little ones have had a lovely long sleep for me (hense nip/tuck!!). Going to go wake them up now ready to go upto collect DS and DD.
Hope everyone is having a good day (potty training etc!!)
    Take care xxxx
  • I have had a very mixed day so far, up nice and early, cleaning cos I have got the Estate Agent coming around tomorrow, So I've hoovered and swabbed and dusted, fresh daffs everywhere! The old EA's we not very proactive so now I'm going to try a national chain. However whilst cleaning the kitchen I stuck my finger in the bacon slicer  only about 1 1/4 long but deep, blood all over. Have you ever tried putting butterflies on your own finger??? Good job it was turned off.

Now the phone has just rang and I have a new job :D, start tomorrow, it will be strange as I have been on holiday since last march. I'm sort of chuffed as I have only tried for two jobs, one went to second interview and they said I was over qualified :o, this one said that I was exactly what they wanted, a grumpy old git to whip the peons into shape.. (blessed by faint praise methinks).

Boo to the Dept for Work and Pensions

When my dad died at the beginning of September last, I rang DWP 2 days later to stop his attendance allowance - mum didn't want to have to sort out paying back overpayments.

I have just received a letter, with apologies for the delay asking for £60.60 overpayment. Now I appreciate that he would have been paid in advance so there would have been something to pay back, but to leave it nearly 5 months!! . Luckily, I had any correspondence sent via me, so I shall sort it out - mum knows, but as I owe her some money that can be paid off against it.

Anyway, having a :coffee: cos I've blitzed the living room and hall, sorted the under stairs cupboard, put on DW and WM, cleaned upstairs loo and downstairs one is 'bleaching'. Tea is a shepherds pie from the freezer and I shall make apple sponge to use up some manky apples. I'm borrowing my friend's upright carpet shampooer (cos it has a brush action and I've some stubborn stains appeared - thanks, kidz) so guess what I'll be doing tomorrow ......... in fact, must see if you can use soda crystals in a carpet shampooer on an 80% wool carpet ........ off for a surf, once I write this darn cheque... :(

Bu99er - I need to clean my screen again now :D

I really must stop reading MATH's posts :D:D

Anyway - I have the look down to a tee - to complete the chic '06 OS gardening look, one must of course have each garment in a different and non-complimentary colour. Of course, your local charity shop WILL be able to facilitate this. But don't forget the most important piece - and I'm sorry MATH - this is where you'll have to resort to either the handknitted tea cosy effect hat or the mop head - your crowning glory must have been washed the day before and allowed to dry without brushing, whilst wrapped in a towel. On the morning of said gardening expedition, drag brush through your barnet, making sure your fringe sits at a rather unflattering angle across your right eye and the ends look like a hedgehog on speed. And on no account wear any sort of cosmetics - it's the au naturel look we are aiming for :D

Do make sure that you of course speak to as many friends and neighbours of the owner of the garden as is possible, all the while squinting into the sun as they have had the foresight to stand with their back to it. I'm sure if a bag of rotting leaves had split whilst I was carrying it to the gate, thus fragrancing me with it's delicate odour, the whole ensemble would have been complete. Sadly, the latter was not to be, so I had to resort to bleaching loos instead :rotfl:

Come and train mine - please!!!

It's only taken 6 years - so i guess that isn't that bad. My tip is to praise positive behaviour (e.g.washing up, washing cars, hoovering, dealing with cat litter trays, putting on WM), and nag like hell when it goes wrong, but in a funny way, hence i'm always telling him not to even look at the airers. I think that is the school teacher part of me shining through. ;)

When we first lived together, i had a few tearful Sundays when i was trying to iron clothes for work and the creases were so bad where he had just chucked the clothes off the airer. We got through it - unless i just don't notice as much now.

LOL:rotfl: I have tears rolling down me chops after reading TM's post and to think she gave up the life of an international model to live this lifestyle.:D

Thanks for the style tips. I think i could pull it off if I borrowed on of my mother's cocktail wigs and put it on back to front.:D

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but TM and I are roughly the same height, almost the same weight, both surviving on a diet of cheap baileys u like and have never been known to post at the same time (spooky) dedehdehdeh (hums tune to the X Files)

    Could it be we are

a: Twins seperated at birth one claiming the birthright of inbred style and grace the other getting a pair of moonboots and a Percy Thrower pullover:eek:

    or

b: We are the same person but in two different places at the same time:eek: . What's the proper name for that is it TRANSINCONTINENTAL:p Do you feel incontinent TM?:rotfl:

Just had a phone call from OH asking what's for tea. "well you wanted a surprise....surprise I didn't get anything out". His response was a simple "so ya think ya funny?"

He then started talking about doing some HM chips (in the oven) with a couple of fried eggs.

However....I could end up getting anything when I get home, as he has a habit of changing his mind (and they say women are bad!)
