Evening!
DD stayed at home as still quite ill with temperature and sore throat.
Washed DD's bedspread and mark is still there but faint-it was a bright pink colour felt-tip i think  It was dried on airer though, so thats a whole week without the TD :j DW has been on and emptied by OH. SIL came and did window frames, cleared out rotunda and some drawers in kitchen, cleaned wooden blinds in lounge, wiped down fireplace and all me ironingshes a star!!
Provided lunch of jacket spud, pie and beans and OH & DD had this too. I had spud and chilli with cheese. Dinner has now been changed to Breaded cod, mash and peas.
OH has done abit more wall papering in DD's bedroom-it will get done eventually..LOL. It is looking lovely though. Will post a picture once done
Think Im coming down with the dreaded lurgy as my throat is now killing me and head throbbing, so think it will be an early night for me.

That's my first day back at work over with. Nothing too traumatic - mostly because my mobile has broken, so no-one could ring me! Vodafone are delivering a new one tomorrow, so I get to have a nice working from home day. Called into Boundary Mill on the way home & picked up some bargains from the M&S outlet. A pair of grey flannel/tweed trousers (lined so not too itchy!) & 2 v neck black tops/jumpers. £35 for the lot - which is the original price of the trousers.
Took HM houmous & pitta out with me for lunch, along with a couple of satsumas & a handful of chocs out of the cavernous cadbury's heroes tin.
I'm feeling quite inspired for dinner, so I'm going to stuff some chicken breasts with mozzarella & sundried tomato, wrap in parma ham & bake in the oven. Plus some form of potato - maybe rosti?
Whoever was asking about cooking risotto in the oven instead of stirring - Yes, I do it all the time, it turns out fine. Just don't tell any Italians, they'll be mortally offended!0 -
I could scream and scream and SCREAM after the day ive had today!! Its been one big long queue all day - where the hell did all the people come from!!!!!
Ill make myself chicken kieve and chips for dinner as im being lazy and im tired, then im going to wax legs, do eyebrows, then go to bed as im so tired. Fingers crossed tomorrow is much easier, mainly because I have stacks of personal development work that I want to get finished before I have a few days holiday next week, so I can go back after my holiday ready for for the next stage, applying for a position that will come up in April and work my !!!!!! off to prove myself until then.
As a treat, im going to order myself a pair of shoes off Next's website (I hear the shouts of No - dont do it! - But im going to anyway as my last splurge before going on a debt free mission for a few months) and then sit of my bum! Although boyf (who stole the lazy one and replaced him with a hiker?) is telling me we should go for a good walk around the block. Wierd.

Hi all :hello:
Happy new year to you!
I have officially started in my new school today. The children return tomorrow, but I found out that on 27th January the school will be closed for the day :j A long weekend, or as my best friend has pointed out, I'll be able to help her move house!
She's also just managed to book accommodation for my hen party in May. One hotel quoted her £150 per night (3* hotel), whereas another 3* quoted £70 per night. Guess where we're staying! (2 to a room, so £35 each)
OH wanted a shopping list from me last night because he was going to do the weekly shop. Having done a menu planner, I knew that we have enough food to last us until the weekend but apparently we don't. Having shown him the menu planner, he is now convinced that we don't have to spend money on groceries until the weekend - and we'll be able to go to the local butcher and grocers!
Better go and get myself ready for the children returning to school tomorrow.

Hi all
A better day today and my mother even seems more relaxed (or maybe I am getting used to her ways?).
Had a good response from Freecycle people for my request for free yarn, and my giant crochet bedcover is growing huge! I am going to have to carry it arouond in a shopping cart if I take it with me to the Stitch'n'!!!!! group next Sunday!
Breakfast, banana and muesli with soya milk and loads of health-giving seeds.
DH and DD/DS back to work/school and I spent the morning peacefully crocheting and my mum knitting.
Then lunch (leftover smoked salmon from party on rye bread, fruit) then out to Lewisham where I had to do some stuff.
Back home, straight on computer quickly to say hi to you all.
Going to cook dinner now, risotto with truffles (that my mother brought me from Italy) and steamed mix veg, fruit, nougat.
I am going to find it hard to go back to hippy slop dinners after my mother leaves!
Hope you are all ok, I did not have a chance of reading everybody's entries today as I am only briefly online before I go tidy up and cook.
Lots of love to everyone

Oh that was just tooo much information :snow_laug Got the toaster bags (£3.99) so it's toasties for me for lunch tomorrow - don't fit in my toaster at home - still, that means OH won't use them and ruin them!!!! Also will take only that square loaf - good job there's 2 in the freezer then!!! also 40 self adhesive gift tags for next year 1/2 price to 25p and an advent calender - a real one without chocolate = 1/2 price for 50p!!! OH was well pleased when I got home. Also 2 jars of mint sauce for £1 from farmfoods - love that shop for staples....... I'm actually going to bed now as I feel dreadful. Had hoped the stork would be sending me an invitation after 40 days and nights but lo did he not send his friend dirk the dinosaur with his heavy boots on to trample all over my insides................ no wonder they're always depicted as a male bird in cartoons - can't get anything right...........But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Hi all,
Just a quick post. First day back at work wasn't too bad as my boss wasn't in, but he will be tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.
I've enrolled in a part-time course at my local college to learn something new and also to see if I can stick to learning again as I'm thinking of starting an Access course in September.
I've just listed some items on Ebay for the first time - it takes ages doesn't it? PP I've seen that you've got loads to list. ave you got any tips on adding things faster? I got fed up after listing 6 things and will wait to do some more another day I think.
JW1096 think we're in the same position at work by the sounds of it - trying to get noticed, but not getting along with the boss. Well I've figured new year new start and decided that if nothing has happened by summer I'm definitely going to do an access cours and start re-training for a totally different career.Comping Challenge
