Hello everyone
It was musical beds again last night. Trouble was, as soon as I'd manage to drop off, DS2 would wake me up. Then when I finally got him settled back in his own bed at 3.50am, next door's floodlights (yes, they converted their lovely front garden into a car park, complete with floodlights, which shine into our bedroom) came on  They're on a timer not a motion sensor so will have to check with them that it's not gone wrong. Anyway, that was me staring at the ceiling and kicking Mr TM every time he as much as breathed ;o
So, today I may say to heck with the house and go out. May take DS2 to a play-place so he can run off some energy and then have a mooch round the shops whilst I'm there (window shopping only - except my mum needs a new mattress cover so could get that for her)
Tea is already made - they didn't want spag bol for tea so it's sitting there and should be especially lovely by the time we eat it. Will make some garlic bread this afternoon and have got the last of the pastry and gooseberries out of the freezer and will make a couple of fruit pies too.
Eventually got round to sorting out my airing cupboard last night and now have loadsof lovely towels, with all the old ones in the bag ready for the recycling bin at the tip. I have decided I cannot remain attached to towels just because they were the ones mum bought me when I left home to go to UniThey have done sterling work cos they are least oooh, 12 years old
 (shurrup, MATH and CQ :rotfl: )
Ok, porridge has been eaten so I'll have a scan of these threads as I finish me green tea. Have a good day everyone and Happy Australia Day, Aussielass

12 year old towels are still new in my book. And some of my old ones are in a bag for when my sister and her dog come to visit, the better ones are in the garage for garden type duties and only the ones that are so thin they are see-through are going for recycling.
Now, like I said - shurrup, or no-one will believe I'm 230 -

I think you should have typed a "2" in place of that "1" :rotfl:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

hello, not sure what to say now. thank you for the welcome. i'm new to this old style saving, although it fits right in with my lifestyle, and i love all the threads i've managed to read so far.
my day is working today, then home to get organised for my dd first sleepover tomorrow night, her friend is coming, luckily thay are away early on saturday for a trip, so hopefully they may go to sleep at a reasonable time.
our tea is organised, i have jacket potatoes in the slow cooker, and will top them off with some beans as its dd favourite meal at the moment, with a bit of grated cheese on top. but i have a pile of ironing to do tonight and some bills and stuff i must get sorted out.
thanks for the warm welcome, its lovely.£2 saver club 30th sept 198 £2 coins = £396(£350 banked)0 -

Anyone is free to post at any time at all, and will be most welcome too; besides - some of these chatterboxes might look like they've been here for ever, but in truth it's only been a couple of weeks.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
