You should haveseen what came out of my carpet!!!!!!!

I'm back again. Still at work, despite hoping to get away early.
Computer broke again today, so having to make up for lost time now.
Been told I look really ill, which is always good to hear.
Still feel like pooh. But on the plus side, I've found some Seville oranges for marmalade, which will please Mum - £2 for 4lb
Hope all's well and pleased to hear the exams are over holstarComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Good afternoon everyone.
Not at work today again. Still not feeling great but better than what I was.
In an effort to cheer me up hubby decided we should go out for lunch. With a buy one get one free at TGI Friday's and gift vouchers from Crimbo we had a yummy lunch that cost nought.
After lunch had a mooch round Lakeland, John Lewis, Boots sale and Borders Books sale. Got a nail varnish gift set from boots reduced from £8 to £2, used a No.7 £5 voucher for a new blusher, hair and bracelet sets from Borders from £6 to £1 and a paper plane set from £7 to £1. Everything except the blusher will be put in the gift cupboard. Now have about 40 gifts in there. Normal price probably about £300 and I reckon I have spent no more than £120.
Hubby and I am off to my mums for dinner tonight. Having a Burns' Supper. Not that I need an excuse for haggis, neeps and tatties!
Stepson is going to his grandparents (my in-laws) for dinner (we don't get invited there).
Not really any housework needing doing today. Just a quick hoover and a clean of the kitchen.
Take care everyone.0 -

Though she still says that the only thing that gives her a "warm housewifely glow" is the sight of a line of clean laundry on a sunny day :rotfl:Operation Get in Shape

OH has just knocked up a "use all the manky food in fridge" quiche:rotfl: we have in there some left over sweetcorn, slice of back bacon, slice of ham, onion, 2 lamb grill steak thingys and some grated cheese on top. Dont know what its going to taste like, but looks scrummy.
Sausages in oven part cooking for toad in hole and roasties in oven too-so being used to its full potential with an added shelf OH put in for the quiche. Im having a fish cake as toad in hole dont go down well ATM
DH has done some more papering in DD's room, so nearly finished:j its looking lovely and very girly. DD still on sofa and hasnt moved much...apart from loo and eating. Glands still all swollen, so looks like its back to the GP's tomorrow and sent up for some blood tests...shes been ill off and on since xmas. Could just be her age though as shes starting to hit puberty....and dont we all bleedin know it:eek:
Weather has warmed abit so turned gas fire off just after lunch, but its suppose to be very cold again tonight, so may go back on later-or will just add another layer...or go to bed.
Anyways, got to go check dinner.

Well my day hasn't quite panned out as I planned, but not a bad day!
I haven't sorted out my sewing room, but I did manage to sort all DD's clothes and distribute them to the various places (Nursery / Charity Shop / 3 Crates ready for NCT Sales!), also baked a chocolate and orange cake for me to endulge myself with this evening! Downside ... DD "helped" me with using the Kenwood Chef ..... with a sharp turn of the knob from "off" to "max" in a blink of an eye ... kitchen and DD disappear into a cloud of flour ... oops!
Right, bathtime .... have a good evening folksGC - March 2024 -0 -
