Morning all,
Bright and frosty here today - wind nearly took my ears off on the school run, I love weather like this.
Both DD's are back at school -- hurraaaaaay :j .
It's a double :j :j today too as DH got paid (1st pay packet since 16th December)...it's been a welcome relief. We'd managed not to go overdrawn at all this month and not used credit cards, it's nice to know I can do it! DH's new pay rise has kicked in this month too so there's over £100 extra a month to play with. Will throw it at a credit card before I notice we've got it, will actually save £20 a month of it into my "extras" account,...we need a new mattress so will save this year and get one in the sales next january.
Brekkie - toast
Lunch - DD's have got beans in a food flask. DH has cornbeef cakes from last night.
Dinner........probably pizza, but possibly sausages and roast veggies......depends what time little one goes home tonight.
Only one little one today so a nice easy one, she's due any minute so I'd best go down a coffee and get a spark of energy to play!

Morning all
Busy day today, but first got some fab news. We currently live in a house that my dad owns, yesterday OH sorted out our long term money situation and we can afford to buy it off him, so we went and had a chat and basically hes giving me all the money back that we've paid in rent back :j so we can get Debt free and only have to take the Mortgage out over 20 years. I cant believe how generous hes been and it means Wicked Stepmother wont be able to get her hands on it.
Anyway back to today, Mums and Toddlers this morning, one load of washing about to go on the airer, nappies to be washed next and I'm going to put on the BM in a minute. This afternoon I'm going to make a batch of fairy cakes and some of Queenies everyday biscuits and then sort out DD nappy collection to see if theres any not used in a while to ebay. If I get time I'll tidy out the rest of DD draws
Breakie: Toast with Laughing cow and tea
Lunch: Pasta with tom sauce on
Tea: Egg and Slimming World chips
Its a green day cant you tell
Hugs to all those who've not had much sleep and have got ill people in the house.
Better go DD has gone quiet :eek:Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hello everyone,
Well, busy morning so far, and even though i think i saw every hour last night, ive had loads of energy today, just cleaned my bathroom and toilet (with vinegar, water and essential oils!!) BM on, kitchen floor swept, WM nearly finished its second load, first load all hung up outside, i know its VERY cold, but it will get a lovely airing, even if i have to hang it on the radiators later. DS and DD at school, the 2 little ones playing nicely (at last, been little tinkers so far!!!) and DW nearly full, just need the lunch dishes before i put it on. Now im ready for a lovely large hot cup of coffee, and a sit down before doing drawings with the little ones before lunch. They should then have a sleep for 1 1/2 hours before going off to school to pick up DS, DD and 2 others, a very full house this afternoon!!!!
Holstar, hope the exam went well, and celebrations tonight go just as well!!!
Joannas mum, wonderful news, know all about the wicked step mother, unfortunatly, my Dad doesnt see what shes like, or if he does, doesnt care so i dont see him anymore, sad but i feel its him that misses out!!!!
Hope everyone has good days (and nights)
Take care

Morning everyone,
got the WM on and the BM on making some dough for HM pizzas. Must use up all sorts of bits n' bobs so best thing is put them on a pizza. Other meal will have to be some thai curry out of the freezer. Must go get it out so it has time to defrost. I've started freezing portions of a meal when there is some left over and it just suits us fine for lunch when the kids are out of the way.
I'm probably spring cleaning too early but I'm just in the mood to clean the nets. Took 2 down and didn't realise just how filthy they were until i put them in the bowl to wash!
Must go get some serious studying done today. No point having the kids out of the way and not study!
Does mascapone freeze well?0 -
Hi all
I'm in school but I've got some time out of the classroom because I'm a new teacher. Ok, so I shouldn't be typing on MSE, but my search for worksheets on the internet has been fruitless (trying to avoid making my own for homework), so I've given up briefly.
OH was in charge of going shopping last night. I gave him a shopping list, but managed to omit bread from it! Luckily we've got some in the freezer, but still...... He didn't buy any "because it wasn't on the list". Well, surely he could hear me telepathically telling him that he NEEDED bread. Obviously not.
Later today I am going to be filmed! Yes, I'm going to be a star. Ok, so it's just for "Teachers' TV" (digital channel) and it's just going to be me asking a question............... but I will be noticed by Hollywood directors :rotfl: :rotfl: No, seriously, they're putting together a series of programmes to help new teachers and I replied offering my services. Good job I've washed this side of Christmas!
PP - I hope your DD is feeling a bit better. Can I come round to your house?
CQ - sorry to hear about your incident with the local butcher. That happened to me once, and I soon learned my codes! That and going to a market where they were selling "Farm Fresh Eggs" only to find that "Farm Fresh" meant battery eggs (3UK stamped on them too!). Grrrr, no wonder they were cheap.
OH should be booking our hotel room today for the night after our wedding. I've given him strict instructions about where I want to stay, and I will be MOST disappointed if he doesn't get a room there - especially as my chief bridesmaid and her husband booked a room in the same hotel yesterday. He hadn't even thought about WHERE to stay for the night before our wedding. We're getting married where my parents live, and where I grew up which is a fair few miles from where we live now. Luckily, one of his super-efficient ushers booked a few rooms in a local pub on Monday, otherwise I'm sure that he wouldn't think about it until the night before. It's why he needs me!Ok, so our wedding isn't until July, but it's prime wedding and tourist season at that time of year (especially as where we're spending our wedding night is round the corner from where they filmed some of The Da Vinci Code, due for release in May!). Me thinks it'll be busy!
Have a good day.

Just got back from Asda where I've been spending my birthday money. I don't usually buy myself DVDs but I treated myself to "The Grudge" and the box set of "The Ring" and "Ring Two"
Also bought myself some bubblebath as I didn't get any for my birthday OR Christmas  makes a pleasant change though.
OH was sent home early yesterday from work, they had a water main burst in the food tech department so the whole school got sent home early. BUT he didn't bother to sort out his Income Tax which just requires a phone call even though he was home by 1pm :wall: OH has also had a cold for the past week or so and yesterday DD was bunged up and now I am as well  I think I'm going to have to finish on here and then open up all the windows in the house (again!) and air it through, do some jobs (like putting the bread I made yesterday into the freezer) and I think I'll watch "The Grudge" while I'm at itWhile I was in Asda I picked up an expanding file box to put all the old bills etc in so I'll probably sit down to do that. Having them all in a stoage box is actually more bother than I thought it would be, besides which the handle on the box gave way the other night as I was trying to carry it down the stairs
Right, off to empty bins of tissues, open the windows and I think I'll put some washing out on the line:wave:

Washing is on the line but it will prob be as stiff as a board later but as least it might aire abit. Rest of house now quite presentable, but the bathroom needs a good going over this aft.
Lunch for DD & I: Chip butties
Dinner: Last of the leftover chicken, will knock up a curry with some rice.
Better dash, enjoy your day
