Hi Yall, late post from me today what with older MATHLETT being up in the night chucking-up,he's currently languishing on the sofa with the remote within easy reach (he's already quite 'manish' about having control of the remote. hehehe)

I've been having a bit of a kitchen day today as I'm responsible for supplying some HM bread for our Church Hm bread and Hm soup fundraiser on Saturday, I made a couple of dozen jam/lemon curd tarts while I was at it.

Dinner tonight is (insert family name) Special. Basically fried onion and bacon, baked beans and gravy, topped with mashed potato and cheese and baked for about an hour at 220. (feel free to filch this culenray delight and claim it as your own);)

Had a major laundry day as well as the washing is growing out of all proportions. Now the kidz afterschool sports classes etc are kicking in it is making such a difference, especially as their kits have to be hand treated and double washed with extended soak cycles:o It feels like I've spent most of the morning lifting the washer lid and prodding at the wet washing!

Had to do some running repairs to me towels which are beyond frayed (thanks to the Airing cupboard thread for prompting me) I found a load of white tailors tape so I have bound all my white towels down the edges, should be good for another decade now:j Then I embarked on a stitching frenzy! Latest swimming/gymnastics/running/dance badges sewn onto the MATHLETTS "achievement towels", collars back on school shirts and school trouser gussetts re-inforced and Mrs MATHS new trousers taken up. We're as smart as bobbys buttons now.

Paid2clicks done. I got my forst cheque today:j off to cash it on my way to school. it isn't for much but I'm soooo excited.

Delivery man arrived with my vacuum cleaner to replace the one I bout three weeks ago and kn@ckered:eek: I havn't told them the machine before this maodel was repalced eight times by the manufacturer and in the end they gave me my cash back to get rid of me (not before they accused me of either a: running a cleaning business or b: having a compulsive vac complex:rolleyes: ) so nothing to do with flimsy construction then! hehehehe

PHEW! after all that no wonder I'm late posting

    Have a good day

    Good afternoon everyone.

Not at work today. Been having a lot of mini problems recently and think they have all just bundled up as yesterday I had a bit of a "mini breakdown" at work. Took a half day holiday yesterday but still didn't feel up to going today. Phoned doctors but can't get an appt. until next Tuesday!!

    Anyways enough of my moaning.

Was treated to breakfast in bed this morning by hubby. 3 different cheeses on toast, melted slightly with some cranberry jelly. Yummy! Think he realises I am feeling a bit "delicate"!

Just been relaxing today and watching some telly. I am gripped by Nip/Tuck. More twists than a helter skelter. Then Northern Lights from last night. Think my main problem is I hardly ever relax and this makes me more tense.

My out-laws have been in Australia for nearly 4 weeks and came back today. They are (unfortunately) coming to visit tonight. However the message that was left was that they are coming to visit stepson. Myself and hubby have obviously been missed a great deal! Just something else to stress me out

Dinner plan at the moment is "all day breakfast". Sausage, eggs, potato scone, hash brown, black pudding and beans. Not very healthy but nice as a treat.

Hope everyone is having a nice day.

    Hi everyone!
Busy busy day today so just chilling here before picking up the small person from chess club.
Bathroom is cleaned and house tidied. Will whizz home and make packed lunches for tomorrow but it's going to have to be pasta and pesto as am back at work at 6pm. At 8pm it's straight from there to the pub!!!
I've only just found the extra smilies [that little word 'more' at the bottom somehow missed my attention!] I am so easily pleased :rotfl:
Have prepared a long list of B & Bs in Dorset for OH to contact tonight so hopefully we'll be lucky and get a booking for June. Well I wouldn't want him to bored whilst pining for me while I'm out......some chance methinks!

anyway, pm me if u want to sound off, I don't mind!

    Afternoon all

(((((Skystar)))) - sorry to hear your not feeling well - keep your chin up NIP/Tuck is great - havent watched this weeks yet.

MATH - god you tire me out just reading what you have acheived today

Holstar - good luck tomorrow with your last exam

Good to hear that peeps are having better nights rest.

Phoned home to tell OH to put WM on - he had already done it - Yay - he is learning - just wondering if he will hang it up - must let him read MATH's posts - that might inspire him. Challenged him to make some bread this week to see if it is as good as mine - don't think he will take me up on it.

Better go and get some work done - it is soooo handy being able to surf all day esp when your screen is hidden

    Take care all

Wish I could put them off. They are now coming at 4pm (which in their time is 3.30)!! They can't possibly wait any longer to see their grandson. They weren't going to even go to Australia because it meant not seeing him for a few weeks.

TBH its my hubby I feel sorry for because they give the impression the only thing he is good for is his offspring. He says he is used to feeling pushed out one way or another after 30 years!!

I am a bit miffed as well coz they don't know I am not at work today so by coming at 4 means they would have missed me (normally not home until after 6).

Anyway thanks for your kind words.

Did two loads of washing as the sun was shining. It sort of got dry outside.

Popped in town in the car as I wanted to do the library and couple of other things and get back before it got to dark and cold so the washing did not get all damp again. Normally I walk but it would hace taken me nearly an hour and half.

Spent a little money in boots but I did save £7 so not to bad.

Husband told me at lunch time that the most of the shopfloor are going to be off for the next few days due to lack of work. I said what about about you he just went  and if you are I asked is it paid or unpaid. Because at the moment we can't afford for it to be unpaid with me not working. He has not even been there 6 months yet. So I think him looking for another job is ver top of the list due to that getting asthma as well.

Oh well it is only money. Can't have what I don't :rotfl: Mind you might see a new slim line me as all we can afford is bread and water for the next month.

    Yours

    Hope your all OK.

DD has a GP's appointment at 5pm and I think she may have Mumps:confused: She hasnt been too well the last couple of days and its her throat, under her arms, ears, glands etc and think if I remember rightly, thats some of the symptons...is that correct? It maybe just virel but will wait and see.

Anyways, lamb stew and dumplings in SC. SIL came and did all me ironing, dusted downstairs (really dusty after chippy being here and sanding etc), cleaned blinds and cleaned out 2 kitchen cupboards for me:D

OH has been running around like a blue arsed fly. Post office to send ebay parcels, computer shop to buy something he needed (whatever!), pay visa bill:eek: huge chunk this month, bakery (coz he wanted to treat me-more like himself...funny how he only bought me one cake I like and 3 i didnt:rolleyes: , letters sent and a few other bits.

Id better be off and see if dumplings are ok.
