morning peeps! :hello:
lurvley morning here in Aber, sunny but cold and crisp, so i think a long revsion-avoiding walk is called for!
more revision needed today, but this is the last time i'll be doing revision! (...until May, grrrr!) cos its my last exam TOMORROW!! (or have i already mentioned that?? :rotfl: )
also need to give the kitchen a quick clean as no-one cleared up after cooking last night, so it looks like a tomato-coloured bomb has gone off in there
food today...no idea. Really need to get meal plan sorted out again, but havent got round to it with exams n stuff.
have a good day everyone!

Morning All,
Good to see most of us have slept a bit better today....Edit; Sorry Zed crossed with your post.
On top of housework already todayDon't quite know how that happened but not complaining about it;)
Waiting for mechanic to come to collect car to MOT it, but he hasn't shown up yet. Now in fairness we didn't actually specify a time but he normally comes early in the day, ie before 9am. Hope he comes soon as I could do with taking the 2 little Ron's out for a walk. DD is so emotional today, must be c oming down with something. Very irrational, seems very hormonal but only 3yo......dreading ten yrs time:eek:
B; cereal + toast
L; HM carrot and coriander soup
D; Corned beef hash, but need to find recipe on here somewhere first:rolleyes:
PS although corned beef is called beef therefore leading one to believe it is from cow, my husband feels it is actually pork. We had a hilariousdebate about this last night, can anyone clarify??
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone,
Well, the sun is out, but it is still very cold and i was due to have 3 little ones today, but only 1 has turned up, the others both have family around who want to have them, so a nice easy day for me. We have taken DS and DD to school, been to Tescos, made a stew in the SC, emptied the DW and done gluey sticking pictures!!!!! All before 11, and now i get some peace for 20 mins while he watches Dora the Explorer!!! Even better, after lunch, he will sleep for 1 1/2 hours and i get to eat my lunch in peace!!!
Need to whip the duster and hoover around later, but thats all for my day, i really fancy a lazy afternoon before we have to take DS to his football practice, at least in the winter its in a school hall, so not in the muddy field until Saturday now.
Take care everyone, good luck for your exam tomorrow Holstar, the end is in sight!!!!!

Corned beef is definitely beef! Just look at the ingredients on the tin.It has nothing to do with corn either. It is so called because is preserved with 'corns' or grains of salt.It all comes from South America and I've got this thing about buying British so i always feel slightly guilty when i buy corned beef, but that's my problem
Just finished my school baking- 2 doz blueberry muffins and 4 doz pumpkin and sesame flapjacks.Must work out cost of my ingredients.
Braised steak in the slow cooker with red wine(from a can!) and carrots and mushrooms.
Off to buy ds2 a gameboy for upcoming birthday and socks for OH.

Morning all!
Nice & sunny here, too. Glad to see that there have been some better nights sleep last night.
Washing is washed & out on line, washing up done. Dinner is organised (HM soup with bake-them-yourself rolls (39p from Aldi)
Have spent the morning phoning medical establishments; Dr surgery to book appointment for DH, Hospital to change appointment for me & pharmacist to order DHs prescription. I got a letter from the hospital this morning, telling me they had booked an appointment for tomorrow. The letter was dated 13th, but posted yesterday!
Also I now have a headache, cos our next door neighbours are having their drive replaced, and the pneumatic drill has been going all morning. The whole house seems to vibrate with the noise! oh well, hopefully it will look nice when it's done. It'll put our front garden to shame, as we still have the original concrete drive from the 1960s!
Have a good day, everyone.0 -
Morning all
Catowen - nice easy one for you today then....I'm only doing pre/after schoolers today - so it's nice and relaxed here.
I've spent the morning in the loft.....trying to sort out piles for bootfair/ebay/chuck/pack in boxes. There's so much stuff up there I really didn't know where to start. I've brought a few bits down for ebay, mainly clothes that won't fit DD's this year. I've found loads for a boot fair too - just need to find a local one now and get going.
Brekkie - Toast and cereal
Lunch - Various wraps/sandwiches have been taken, will make something warm for DD1 and I - trying to tempt her to eat.
Dinner - Tuna and mash fishcakes for DD's and me, corned beef cakes for DH (fish allergy), with wedges and veg.
Great to see the sun this morning - but soooooo cold...Asked DH to try and pick me up a new washing line lawn spike, (got a homebase voucher to use), want to move the line closer to the patio so I don't have to stand on the wet grass to hang the washing out - want to start utilising the line asap as the sun's there for a good few hours a day.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
After spending all day yesterday getting DD some new shoes for work - spent all morning getting her to the hairdresssers for a style and cut - had to throw myself on their mercy as we did not have an appointment.
She has now gone off to work and I feel shattered!
Made appointment for myself for thursday afternoon and need to arrange to get my eyes tested as I keep misreading things.
Washing is on line and dishwasher is whirring away.
DD(12) is upset because dear dad wanted to be "helpful" and we now cannot find her P.E. skirt!!!!! It is bad enough when he hangs out tops on the line and pegs them so that they are ruined but this is the first time stuff has gone missing!!!
Not sure whether to laugh or cry so came on here to cheer myself up.
Tea will be healthy chips and chicken pie and anyone who has a problem with that can just lump it!"This site is addictive!"

Hiya everyone
Glad you lot (well most of you) had some sleep - muggins here forgot to take her supplements during the day so had them with a cup of coffee and some fruit in the evening. Now, having a coffee was bad enough, but I forgot i was taking a green tea tablet - and as kiwichick told me, her packet says not to take after 4pm cos they may cause sleeplessness. So, there I was staring at the clock until 3 am. The DS2 came in at 5.30 and wriggled unti I could persuade him he really wanted to go and play with his trainset at 6.15.
Anyway, this morning I've put a load in WM, made 2 packed lunches and deposited boys at schools, done a Lidl/Aldi run to stock up mainly on fresh stuff. Also called in at a cycle shop where I swapped a pair of cycle gloves (Bought a new pair on ebay - didn't fit, so man in shop now has my £30 pair which he swapped for a £23 pair. I paid £17 for ebay set originally. Everyone happy) Cme home, put another load of washing on, unpacled car and I've had an early lunch whilst I catch up on here.
This afternoon, I really need to hoover - the boys decided tosee just how far they could spread rice cake and biscuit crumbs last night. Also, most of the cushions from my living room have been utilised in various games around the house  What is it with boys and cushions?
Need to put SC on with pork chops, for tea. Have already made a jelly and fruit for pud and have ice cream to eat with that. Mustn't forget a phone mystery shop (originally scheduled for yesterday - whoops) - in fact, will do that NOW.
Have a good day everyone.
