    Morning Queenie and Apple_mint

At work again. Never got away early, instead ended up doing another 12 hour day, and we still missed a good story. Told the other person about it before leaving, but nothing's been done and it's too late now. It makes me so angry.

Got a green tea infront of me and I'm trying to buck myself up. Think I've got some bug coming on me. It's been going round, but the more run down I get the more chance I have of catching it.

Got my lunch with me again, and managed to put 30p in the pin pot last night - now up to £170 something!!! (That's on going not one month!) Also had 5p and some coppers for the other pots - grand total of 40p saved yesterday!!!

Hope everyone's ok and good lucl with the beetroot cake!

OH made a quiche yesterday using up all bits looking abit dried up in fridge and turned out lovely. Had a small piece last night with some salad cream and was delish. He's been reading through his new course about web design, java and html:confused:

Breakie:Frosted shreddies or bacon sarnie (dont know yet)
Lunch:HM Quiche, Jacket spud and salad
    Dinner:Shepards Pie, Cabbage and carrots

    Take care everybody.

    Morning!

No hm jam and bread for my breakie today, I made a loaf for my visitor friends last night to show off then forgot to make one for me = doh! It means a journey to the shop is in order for an apricot danish pastry - if the traffic behaves and gets me to work on time.

Had a really good day at work yesterday and actually used my new skills and they worked so I was impressed with myself. Im still feeling fairly ill and am quite sniffly today so im hoping for a reasonably relaxed day and ill take plenty of painkillers. An early night will be in order too as boyf woke me up twice last night accidentally and it annoyed me as I hate feeling tired at work.

Dinner this evening will be salmon or tuna so ill pull one out of the freezer as im passing to get ready - lunch will be beef hot pot premade in the freezer. I should get my soup containers today so I can batch make something this evening too, whilst having a look at the finances to sort out the months budget.

Hope you all have a lovely day!

    Hello Everybody,

I have just got a spinach pie out the oven for tea tonight. I'ts smelling delish. I've had quite a productive day. Did some bookwork this morning. Didn't balance  got fed up with it so will look at it with fresh eyes another day. I made a choclate cake this arv as well. New recipe with mashed pumpkin in. Will have a slice after tea for dessert. ;) I'm taking the rest down to the girls down at *Special Care* with a bunch of flowers. Mum was in there for 2 years before being moved up to *High Care* a couple of days before Xmas. Will have morning tea & say thank you. They are such a caring lot and they were so good to Mum.

Going to Brisbane on Saturday for the weekend. Will be staying with my sister on Sat night. Popping in to see more relatives while there. Hope you all have a nice day. A wonderful man who emigrated from Scotland 25 years ago got Australian of the Year. He developed a vaccine for cervical cancer. How wonderful is that. :j
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Good morning
Just a quick post as I'm off to work in a sec, I made HM Stoop with jacket potato last night, everyone is taking left over Stoop to work today for lunch.
Still having probs with the step son, seems he has a £250 overdraft on a bank account he 'forgot' he had! It was at the baliff stage, so I'm paying that today as it is my payday & he will pay me back over the next 4 weeks. He has the same name as his Dad so feel I need to clear it as it could affect our credit. He has now decided he is going to buy a car, he feels that a licence, insurance, MOT & tax are optional extras! I told him I'll report him to the police if he buys it. It's called tough love!!
    Blessings on you all.

  • Morning all,

DS2 has been off school Tues, Weds and will be off today also. DS1 was off Monday with the same thing and now DD is poorly as well  Some sort of cold thing with a high fever. This week has been a total write off! Oh well, never mind!

Have managed to cook some nice food and have not done a 'proper' shop for nearly 2 weeks :j , just need a few basics which won't break the bank. Have some beef stewing steak to cook for today, got some mozarella in the fridge to make HM pizza for tomorrow (we normally just use cheddar).

    Take care all x

    Morning all :hello:

Queenie - I won't be handing out my autograph yet. :D Need to practise it first :rotfl: The director actually asked me (he seemed younger than me, so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt) whether I'd done any tv before! Career in showbiz here I come!

PP- I hope that you and DD are feeling better. I used to suffer from terrible headaches, and I don't know why I don't now - especially considering I work with children all day :rotfl:

We've got a teacher training day tomorrow, but because we've already covered the content the school is closed :j :j This means that I'm booked into the beautician for some waxing tomorrow morning. Not very OS, but it's just a little £10 treat to myself now that I'm working full time.

OH had a major problem at work last night with one of his servers, that meant that he didn't get in until 11pm. Up again at 6am! We were supposed to be having honey soy salmon - as per the meal plan - but I decided that as I was eating by myself that I'd have fish and chips. That's another "treat" for me this week. Better stop having all these treats as it can get expensive. I get paid for the first time next week (for my new job), so it needs to last another month!!!

Better go for now. Have a good day all.
