    Morning All

:grouphug: Hugs to all that need them especially Sweet Pea, that horrible disease has ravaged my family including my mum and nan.

Queenie nice to see you, I just want to thank you for your everyday biscuits, they are exactly the same as my mum used to make but all her recipes were lost when my dad moved in with his new partner  , so now I can make biscuits for my DD that I ate when I was little and she has got abit of her food heritage back :j .

Been to Aldi this morning and stocked up as I got paid today. Going to sort out my budgets this evening. WM on and about to do a "fridge sling" in the SC basically put all veg that needs using up in with some chicken thighs and when cooked mush up and transfer to DD size portions. Tidyed up DD room yesterday and have got some stuff to list on ebay. I'm going to start on our room today. I want to get our overdraft down to nothing before we get the mortgage its about £300 pounds so think that can be done with a consertive ebay effort  .

    Have a good day everybody

    Good Afternoon All

Not much o/s today but did have a lunchtime fry up and used up a lot of the food in the fridge which I need to clear out as going on holiday saturday.

Need to do ironing then start on packing but should be easy as need to pack summer clothes and we are certainly not wearing them at the mom!

Dont want to annoy people but am going to Florida and whilst I am really looking forward to the rides and sunshine (dont shoot me please!) the shopping is a really big draw for me. Its amazing how much cheaper it is and on my first day will be making a visit to Walgreens. Also hoping to get new heads for my sonic toothbrush as they are meant to be dirtcheap. When I come back I have my DS, MIL & DD birthdays so will get there pressies over there (especially my Dad as he is XXl & Americans do large so much better than us - lol).

Anyway wont annoy you any further and will get on with my packing.

Next post will prob be in couple of weeks.

Not annoyed at all. Hope you have a lovely time. I love to shop in the US too and although one is charged a bit on the cc it still works out cheaper. I do have to grit my teeth sometimes when they complain about prices but I suppose it is all relative!

Hi Everyone, :wave:Queenie I hope the chocolate cake turns out OK, let us know!

I think you may mean me. Queenie made some bread or bread pudding;). My chocolate cake tasted great. Will post it in the recipe collection with a few others I've been meaning to post. I've been given some huge pumpkins lately and have been trying out some interesting ways to get rid of them. Just got home from some Aust Day celebrations and I won $30. :jI should be so lucky, very very lucky. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

people are now signing into msn, and it is great fun talking to all these hungover people who have noooo idea what they were up to, hehehe

  • is there any space in your suitcase for a (not so) little one Essex girl. I would love to be going to florida. Especially as it is so cold at the moment.

    Have a wonderful time.
  • Hope you have a lovely time in Florida and am dead jealous LOL!! Spent 5 weeks there last year and we're planning to retire over there eventually. This year will be the 1st time we havent been in many years...shame, but would rather pay our debt off and get me conservatory this year.

Walmart is the best place to get all your toiletries very cheap and are of excellent quality. If you need any advice on best shopping places PM me and can point you in the right direction.

Have a mate going out in July and folks are out there in December again. They will be given lists. Folks have offered to pay for us to go with them, which is very generous but its still the spending money we ned to find and desperatly need a newer car.

    Have a great time.

Im taking DS and DD to Florida in June (hence the huge money saving effort we are on at the moment!!!) Found by taking them out of school rather than going in holiday time (did get our heads permission) saving £1000!!!!!! we are so looking forward to it, and will be worth all the sacrifices we are making, just hope i can clear my credit card before we go!!!!
PP - if its ok, would you mind if i Pm you for the shopping advice? would be lovely to know where to go for the bargains!!!

Catowen I saved £900 by going now which was a bonus as I really just wanted to avoid the queues. Just wait till you shop out there its unreal.

Cha97michelle - I could fit you in on the way out but would have to leave you out there as suitcases will be bursting on the way back.

Definately gonna buy - new trainers all round, new watches (fossil) min of half the price of UK lots of little things as PP mentioned - moisturiser etc and some levi's.
