Very late post for me too!!!!
Have had a pretty average day - dealing with work and kids!!
Think we've finally solved our DS's problem of being scared of the dark, waking up & wanting me to get in the bed with him! And it's all thanks to an OSer (can't remember who gave me the advice - will have to go back through posts from a few days ago!) Gave him monkey toy (he loves King Kong!) and told him that the monkey would protect him in the dark, chasing away shadows etc etc... He's not woken up during the night since!!:T :T
DS2 is much better and will be back at nursery tomorrow!
Am very pleased with myself as have an (almost) empty washing basket & NO ironing!! Have got into a new routine & it's working wonders!! Never feel stressed by the HUGE ironing pile!
Well, off to search the thread for the wonderful person who gave me the advice!! Will PM them! If it was you, then thanks:A x x It was Pooky - thanks again!!! Have PM'd you!! You're a star!!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Morning everyone :hello:
Been awake a while now (that'll teach me to have an early night!) so thought I'd get the thread going today, although no doubt by the time I hit send someone else will already have posted too!
Felt really tired yesterday evening so decided to have an early night and think I was asleep not long after 10pm, but then I was wide awake again just before 4am  ... mind you, it means I can have a couple of hours of peace before the boys wake up
The WM is on and will hopefully be hung out a bit later once it gets light enough to see what the weather might be like. BM is churning away with a honey and oat loaf for breakfast. DS1 picked me up a packet of sausages in the Co-op last night for 10p :T so they will go in the SC a bit later on for dinner tonight and I'm making celeriac soup for lunch (thanks CC!)
Managed to get DS1's room finished off yesterday, although I've still to put up the blind, but decorating is done and carpet laid (bargain for £32 at Carpet Right :j ) and his bed, PC etc is in place (need to get him a chest of drawers yet tho) which is just as well as he was officially discharged yesterday  _party_
Now I need to turn my attentions to DS3's room, which has been partially decorated (wallpaper stripped off and a coat of base emulsion applied) but he's still to decide on a colour theme so we can finish it off, get the carpet laid and re-build his bed, as he's currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor LOL!
All further decorating will be put on hold then until I get more of a feel for the place and decide what I want to do, as well as save up some more dosh for it! I'd like to get started on the garden and do all those little jobs that don't cost any money, just time, as well as try to unpack a few more boxes and de-clutter
I could start with the huge pile of paperwork that's building up on my desk whilst I'm sitting here and get that filed away
Hope everyone has a lovely day and those that have been poorly and under the weather are feeling better today *hugs* :A
Bye for now

Morning:hello:
Been up since 5 so abit tired. WM is on and DW only half full. The house is basically tidy and waiting for cleaner to come today to do her magic:D As OH did the beds yesterday, he's going to ask her to take cushions off sofa and dyson it down and smack up the cushions abit, to make them look abit fuller IYKWIM. They really need to re-foamed but have no idea how much this will cost?
DD is still not well, but OH has organised everything to take me to the cinema today to see Munich:eek: His sister is babysitting DD and we are all good to go. We are leaving about 11 to have a jacket spud before it starts. Going to do DD her lunchbox, so that she has stuff prepared and can eat herself. Think its Bluewater we're going too, and wheelchair access there is great:beer: will sneak in drinks, crisps and biccies..LOL. Also, have a £3 hair product voucher for Boots, so will ask to be pushed in there and have a nosey.
Hubbies Banana and Walnut loaf in the BM yesterday turned out lovely and moist and very filling.
Have to update all my money files this morning and make a few calls. Found out last night that my local college does a wash, cut and blowdry for £5 and a full body massage for £6.
Breakie:Cereal and fruit
Lunch:Jacket Spud
Dinner: Egg & HM Chips
Have a great day everyone.

Morning Everyone
I don't feel like I've been home. I didn't leave work until 7.15pm last night - that's 14 hours at work!!! I'm absolutely cream crackered.
We had a fatal crash invoving a train and a car, which I had to dash to, and then there was a fatal crash on the road, which clogged up all the roads. So I was on travel updates. Then when I eventually did leave, it took 35 minutes to travel 2 miles.
I just got home and flaked
On the plus side - 5 hours over time:money: actually being paid for working late for once!:T
Must get petrol when I leave today. Was going to do it later, but owing to the travel situation decided best not to fight the queues
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
