Good morning all
An early start here this morning and it feels like mid afternoon already! Only one little one here today - more than happy with 10 mins telly with fruit and juice then we're off for a walk, it's snowing lightly but once bundled up we wont feel the cold (here's hoping anyway!!)
WM have a day off - there's not enough for a load, DW empty and on a cycle with some soda crystals to give it a clean through. BM will go on later for tomorrows loaf.
DH actually phoned his bank yesterday and sorted out his loan, there's 4 years to go on it but we can now afford to pay more so we've taken a flexible loan at a lower rate, already cut 14 months off it and will concentrate on overpaying to pay it off within 18-24 months...I am determined to get sorted.
Brekkie - HM half and half bread and lidls jam
Lunch - Quiche from last night with cheese straws and assorted fruit in lunchboxes.
Tea - DD's are having fishfingers and mash, DH and I are having leek and potato soup - so many leeks to use up (reduced in lidls at the weekend as they were just going a bit manky - once trimmed and chopped they're fine)
Off to do a few jobs tomorrow that involve spending money (aarrhhh) but can't be helped, DD needs a tracksuit for games at school, they're doing rugby this term and she'll freeze otherwise.
Welcome to all the newbies - great to see some new faces......I think we all feel our days are boring but it's great inspiration to read other's posts sometimes, they jog your memory too."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Thanks hun <hugs> :A
It's amazing how much better I feel now I'm out of that flat and away from certain situations, and even my CPN said the other day he can see how much happier I am now! I still have my moments of feeling completely overwhelmed with everything there is to do yet, usually when I'm tired as my energy levels are still quite low, but thankfully it passes over once I've rested a while.
I'm hoping and praying you get your letter very soon too as I know what it's like to be kept waiting to hear. I'd almost given up hope when mine arrived and was totally unprepared LOL! Have you got much packed up yet?
Well, I guess I hadn't had enough sleep after all as I laid on the sofa after DS left for school and promptly fell asleep again until 10am
Must go get the SC on or it won't be ready for dinner, and also get the soup started for lunch, then finish off the filing I started earlier!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Happy its friday, going home to see my parents this weekend.
Not had a particularly good week, havent been to the gym & have been eating really badly - decided to come off a/d on Monday since I didnt want to be on them when travelling, and generally just try to manage without them, and am ok, but feeling really dizzy & lightheaded!!???!!!
Spent the whole week at home (aside from coming to work) and have cabin fever now and need to get out and about!
28 weeks til I go - yippeeeeee!! xx0 -
Morning All
Glad to hear you sounding more upbeat CQ.
I'v had a horrible cold all week, going now but Spud is sneezing a lot!!! Oh well, at least he's too young to declare every sniffle is "flu", unlike my husband. I think he's done well to get to almost 6 months before catching anything:cool:
Been to Babysigning class this moring, washing load of nappies done (actually feels good to be back to using washables now that I can cope with them again:rotfl:), just need to make beds, have a bit of a tidy round then it's a lazy day with music, playing & maybe a video for me if Spud has a long enough afternoon nap (it's not just me is it, he should sleep for longer than 30 mins during the day shouldn't he???)
B : nothing (I know, I know:o)
L ; beans on toast (HM bread)
D : Steamed trout, pesto cous-cous & carrots.
Have a good day everyone:hello:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
I too have been up since the sparrows were rubbing their eyes, all scrubbed and polished, booted and suited!! Found myself in town looking at all the droids walking to the dark satanic offices, however I do think I have blagged myself a job, will get confirmation tomorrow, at least I will be sort of my own boss, out early in the morning back for nine, all day at home, out for knocking off time then home again, what more could a boy want? The money not too bad either. All excited now LOL. :j
Got loads of washing up to do, kitchen to sort out and smelly stuff to prepare as No2 son is coming to visit tomorrow and he wants me to show him how to make sausages!! As he is the most carnivorous person I have ever met I expect him to turn up with something that looks like the contents of a butchers dustbin (and probably has a pulse)
I need to get on with my hoovering and swabbing and scrubbing now, the joys of housework! The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0 -

Morning (or almost afternoon all)
curry queen - take it easy with the house - i know you feel it has to be done fairly quickly, but take heart in how much you have done already.i'm sure your son will appreciate his room when he gets home. (I really do need to narrow down what i'm going to do next.)
Jo w - force that bloke of yours to do some housework - most men are naturally lazy and will let you do it all if they can get away with it. However, if he's at home more than you, and you are ill, it's his friend - so if he wants him round, he should tidy up.
Dobie - welcome, have a fantastic weekend
Pennypincher - hope the cinema visit was very enjoyable - you have had a tough week and deserve it.
I'm having an OS morning. I slept in. I was woken up by work ringing, my headteachers secretary asking if it would be alright if he came round later. (God only knows what that is about? Although i know there is a promotion they want me to apply for and have been emailing me about, and i'm resisting it because i already work too hard and that is why i'm off with fatigue IMHO). We didn't wash up last night, so i've had that to do, plus make some bread in BM. I'd best tidy up a bit. Not sure what the procedure is when your boss comes to visit. WM is on and i need to do a bit of a swap around on the airers.
i'm going to be stressed all day about what my boss wants, so i need to keep busy. No doubt i'll be back later to find out what you are all up to.
Enjoy yourselves,

Hi Yall,
Just sitting down to my 2 1/2 point lunch (minestrone soup and un-buttered toast) so thought I would pop on and see how yall doing.
It's a dark, damp day in the emids and I've got the sniffles along with the rest of the MATHS. I'm looking forward to the weekend as I've decided to go over to the coast for the day on Sunday and make sure everything is OK (no burst pipes or anything) I brought a load of blankets and other stuff back to wash when I closed up in November so I'll bag it all up and take it with me to cut down the volume of stuff I need to ferry over when I open the place up in March.
Gotto take mini MATHLETT to have his eyes tested tomorrow cos his teacher thinks he is having trouble with close work.
PP Enjoy your trip out to the flicks. With his cooking, baking, night out planning ou do realise that Mr PP is putting all us other hubbies in a poor light.;)
CQ It'll all get done in the end. I'm pleased you're feeling happier in your new home.
Smokey112 I read that toilet roll stuck up my hooter and got the wrong end of the stick completely. I was so relieved when I re-read it.:D
Mr Procta Good luck on the job front
Hugs to all who are nursing colds (like wot I is) and hi to all the newbies who post on the daily thread. Lunch is over (all over me keyboard if I'm honest) so back to the grind stone.
Catch ya later

Hiya everyone
DS2 deposited at pre-school so I thought I'd catch up on here with a ham roll and a huge bowl of tropical fruit salad
Last night I managed to get a night out sans menThe local Toyota garage were having a ladies night so got an invite and got one for a friend too. (Yay - I really know how to live, don't I? - She turned up in her Honda, me in Mr TM's Saab :rotfl: ) However, it was an excuse to put on some lippy and squirt some parfum down the old decollete (ok - on me jumper - I don't put perfume on my skin ;o ) Free bucks fizz and nibbles, a couple of talks, a flower arranging demo and 'fashion show' Made a change from sitting in front of a pc
Also, got me pic taken for Lancashire Life (will wait to see if it's in there before I put me order in tho
)
Anyway, today it's back to the humdrum of normality :P Took DS2 to speech therapy, went into banks and sorted out various accounts, picked up a book and game in a charity shop and went to Library. This afternoon will be spent in general tidying. DW needs unpacking and repacking. I'll go and inspect the washing baskets because there should be enough for a load by now - the mountain of ioning can wait until tonight.
Must finish cleaning the kitchen floor too - last night, whilst the oven was on I made a plate gooseberry pie (and lovely it was too, thanks squeaky) and some jam tarts. All was going well until I had my back turned to sort the oven out - when I turned back again, the 9yo from next door had "encouraged" DS2 to decoate himself with flour - and by the time all the other kids had been in, joined in the "fight" and run off, I had more floury footsteps around the house, than I had flour in the kitchen  DS2 did look funny with a little flour hat on tho :rotfl:
Right, I'm off to make a :coffee: and stare at the beautiful rainbow that's just appeared outside my window. We have no snow, just lots of cold wind
Hope you all have a good day

I'm having this vision of TM's piccie, Hair in a cloth, skirt tucked into her draws, manky pinny, clogs and pattens, fag in her mouth and saying "its 'angin everything's 'angin" whilst pushing a mop around. :rotfl:
Tell me its true???The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0
