Glad to hear your boss's visit went well Michelle.

Mrs Bojangles- Hope everything works out to be okay for you. I'll be thinking of you. Take care of yourself.

Queenie- The plasterers have finally gone. Unable to take hints regarding the cold and the door (even though I kept closing it), so poor DH had to be tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle, gloves and hat on! He even explained to them that he gets very cold as a result of his chemotherapy. I cuddled up with the Aga and made flapjacks and soup. Nice enough blokes but glad to get our house back to ourselves and warm up. I can understand your ds re the rugby. It can't be fun if it is a game you are just not into, being bulldozed by those that are!

Floor washed but lots of washing down and dusting to be done over the next few days. :(

I'm really happy. Both my sofas fitted into my home without having to take the door off, and to top it all i now have a black bags worth of bubble wrap for all my ebay packing etc... how sad is that! :D Also got round to making some gingerbread for DS from BeRol recipe site, and gave in and ate one as well (suppose to be on weightwatchers diet). Will see how good I am tomorrow.
I really enjoy reading about other people's everyday lives on this thread, and its nice to know that I'm not the only one who like being OS. I also finally thought it was time I had an avator so I put one on of my cat "Powie". She needs to go on a diet as she weighs 14lb. DH said we are fattening her up Easter.

    Best Wishes - Powie

    Evening all!

Had a reasonably good day at work (was being a bit blonde though, blocked ears and banking dont work well together!) and came home to a reasonably clean house with a few tasks id left around completed, and turns out the visitor aint coming due to work commitments - what a shame :p

Am making Salmon for dinner and attempting to get this yeast stuff to work as I need bread this evening, then its time for chatty with boyf  . I will then clean up the rest of the stuff that needs sorting then get another good nights sleep as I coudnt find anyone to cover me tomorrow.

Thanks for all the support re: boyf, a colleague of mine has just split with her guy (I found out today) and its got me thinking a bit more about what I actually want from mine and whether it is possible. If not, I need to consider what happens next.

Anyhoo - im starving, so I must go cook!

My boss came, was very nice. He brought me a bottle of wine and said not to go back to work until i was feeling up to it. He even suggested had a holiday to try to recuperate. I'd worried all day about his visit - what a relief.

Wow! Great boss!!! :T :T I am so relieved for you that it wasn't a dreadful experience. As for the wine ... BONUS! ;) Enjoy your evening now.

Thank goodness you now have the house back and warming - especially for your DH! Ooooh the flapjacks and soup sound very warming. :) Yes, it was the "bulldozer" aspect he was most wary of and with his hormones kicking in he simply wasn't happy with me not responding to his belly ache ;) I should add really, that I'm not quite such a meanie beanie - I know he gets email access at school on a Friday morning (before sport) so I emailed him with some cyber-soothing-hugs and advice ;)

powie - :T RESULT with the sofa's and bonus free bubblewrap too :j :j
Psst: The gingerbread probably won't show up tomorrow ... :shhh: just make sure you've been for a wee and wotnot before weigh in ;) :silenced:

Jo - re: b/f .. you may want to defer your chat while you are feeling run down and that will also give you some time to reflect on your wants/needs/expectations too. You need to both share similar long terms goals and be working "together" towards the future. Take care! ((hugs))

PP - how was the movie?? Hope you had a good time and DD is soon on the mend.

    Good morning everyone,
    IT'S THE WEEKEND YIPPEE!!

Can you tell I am glad I don't have to go to work? I love my weekends, am definitely a work to live person rather than a live to work one.

I had a couple of glasses of wine last night to help me sleep...what a waste of time that was! Got about four hours, mind you I feel OK.

Old Style today will be the normal round of housework - did some laundry last night, and only have about one more load to do. Dishy is nowhere near full, so that can wait. I definitely need to crack on with a spot of dusting, floor washing and kitchen surface clearing. Shouldn't take too long. I have lots of bits and pieces to take to the recycling centre, luckily not too far away from me here.

Later on I am off to see "March of the Penguins". My one and only social event of the month (though I am going on my todd so not exactly a social event...never mind).

Cheerio everyone, have a great Saturday.
