Has nobody realised just exactly what this guy is doing yet?
He buys samsung from Joe with cracked screen
He buys samsung from Dave with broken keypad
He buyes samsung from Mike with scratch on case
Complains to Mike that screen is cracked bags £5
Complains to Dave that case is scratched bags £5
Complains to Joe that keypad is broken bags £5
Each gets a photo of the required damage because he is seeing someone elses phone with the actual damage described, he then just chops the phones and bags a hefty profit to boot, he's running a mobile chop shop and robbing every singly one of his suppliers based on their fear of receiving neg's, I'm betting he's had a good few of them free never mind reduced.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Esclaate the claim to paypal and state that you've offered a refund upon return of the phone.
Paypal will ask him to return it by a trackable method, they will only refund it if he does this. The penny pincher doesn't sound like he would want to waste the £3 minimum it would cost to send it recorded.
If he does, then refund him, knowing happily that he didn't get a penny discount and you caused him to fork out a few quid and a trip to the post office. If he sends it normal post, then keep it, say you never received it (I wouldn't do this with any honest buyer because it is wrong ,but this guy deserves it) and he won't then get his refund.
You have to accept that he might send you the broken phone back, and then it comes down to your word versus his, never been in that situation, so I don't know the answer to that one. Whatever you do, don't give in and refund him, as this will just encourage him to rob others. Please can you pm me his seller id.
Hi
I have read most of what has happened, its a real shame when you sell on ebay and you encounter these typical problems regardless of the price you are paid for the item/sell the item at. Especially when ebay/paypal rake in the fees and are the real winners.
I really hope that this case gets resolved in the correct way as it seems this ebay person is very out of order.
Previously on ebay my sister had purchased an item and never used so relisted the item to sell, once sold, the buyer opened a case against her and won, the buyer wanted a partial refund and wouldnt return the item which cost her £200 anyway the final result which paypal decided was to refund the buyer the money and disgustingly was told to keep the item!!
so basically the buyer got the item which was worth £200 for free! whilst my sister had lost that money. She wrote to paypal and recieved no real reasonable response just an email which sounded like an automated response as it was there decision. I think paypal go more for the buyer.
Sorry for the long post, but just to let you know what paypal can also do/have done. Also it sounds like the buyer no matter which outcome would probably leave neg feedback in one sense because of the type of person you are dealing with and other ebay people wont take any notice as they will see all your positive feedback.0 -

:rotfl:errrm most of us realised back when i started this thread. Welcome to four weeks ago . Sadly theres no way to prove it so accusing him wont do any good. He's on to a winner. But what goes around comes around. He'll get his commuppance. I urge people to buy his tat off him (not the ipod cases as you'll only get 1p back) then do paypal chargebacks and give him negatives LOL0 -
How do you know this is the same person?littlemisscheeky123 wrote: »the idiots seller account is "carlidanielle" his shop is "Giftopia UK"
If it is i will buy a sim for a quid and neg him when it comes but i don't want to be neging the wrong person.0 -
Anyone buying to leave bad feedback make sure feedback is relevant to the item as if he can prove you bought purely on the basis to leave a neg he can get it removedNever put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

the seller is obviously trying it on, you have the pictures to prove the phone he is talking about is not the one you supplied, do not offer him a refund, let him open a paypal dispute and then send the pics to paypal when they request info (if he opens a dispute). paypal will undoubtably find in your favour.
in any case, if he leaves negative feedback for you, all you need to do is contact ebay with the details, explaining the situation, and they will remove the feedback off your profile and also investigate the buyer.0 -
