sold a phone on ebay - buyer having me on!!! EDIT: Now he's opened Paypal Dispute

It took some reading but im at the end, so i will give my little bit.
I bought a golf club from someone on ebay for aroung £100, the listing said it was hardly used, in the picture the club looked really nice, however, it was taken at an angle so you could not see and damage.
when i got the club i was shocked so i emailed him telling him i wasnt happy, then all the usual stuff came, it was perfect etc when i sent it........
i filed a paypal dispute which worked in my favour but i was responsible to send the item back, for my own sake i sent it back with registered currier which cost me £15. at the end of the day i lost £15.
Now your problem... He has filed a case on paypal, but you have said he can send it back and will get a refund, paypal take the money from you when a dispute is lodged, this is put in 'limbo' until the dispute is settled, its not given back to him at this point.
I rang paypal myself as its easier to talk to them rather than sending emails, you have ample evidence that he is doing this to others, so get their details and speak to someone on paypal and im sure they will listen to you if you have others who have experianced the same problem.
I thinks its evident that this seller is buying phones of the same make and making a good phone from 5 or 6 others, basically its like cutting and shoving.
Its a sad case and it happens on ebay, Ebay has become a victim of its own success.
By the way, mobile phones on ebay in my opinion are a no go, you have more probs than they are worth, too many scammers in nigeria want them.
I hope it works out for you, and if it goes like my case he will be responsible to send the phone back to you, i just hope you can verify that its your actual phone you get back!!All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
ok. That is def 100% his seller account. I put his Email address from my paypal transaction into Ebay search for seller and it said there is a Ebay user with that Email with 142 feedback. Bingo.0

can you get the 11 people he has had a problem with to come on here and comment? it may just build a bigger picture, and collectively can be advised accordingly.Give blood - its free0

haha. he filed a claim... this is his excuse:
I have supplied photographic evidence of the damaged to the phone which matches the one advertised but the seller is trying to say it is not his phone. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b6/dohhh/key.jpg The chip in the no.6 key proves the match. I want to return the phone for a refund. I bought the phone as I needed a working lcd. The one supplied was smashed.
what an idiot. I replied back to paypal. I fully expect to lose the case but he'll get his commuppance big time.0 -
i replied to the paypal dispute but i cant see my reply anywhere???0

when i have problems with ebay, i look up their address and say one of my brothers lives in an address very near to them (next village etc) and i will be visiting him at the weekend, would you like me to pop in and collect the item and then issue a refund
usually scares them!0
