haha. he filed a claim... this is his excuse:

I have supplied photographic evidence of the damaged to the phone which matches the one advertised but the seller is trying to say it is not his phone. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b6/dohhh/key.jpg The chip in the no.6 key proves the match. I want to return the phone for a refund. I bought the phone as I needed a working lcd. The one supplied was smashed.

what an idiot. I replied back to paypal. I fully expect to lose the case but he'll get his commuppance big time.

I'd like to know where the silver bars have come from, underneath the *, 0 and # keys

They weren't on the phone you sold him and I don't have them on the exact same model as you sold him.

Hi, probably a bit late now but I just saw your thread.
Firstly as others have said, the first picture he sent you looks a different colour, also in that picture he doesnt show the full phone so that makes me suspicious of it being a totally different one.
The second picture showing both phones together, you can see there is a difference in some of the keys above the call and hang up buttons, I wouldnt say that is from the light as its only on those three buttons, if it was the light it would be on the bottom two aswell. Not sure what the silver is at the bottom of the pic but could just be the light?
My Husband has this exact phone (in black) so Im looking at his to compare and the one this guy is sending pictures of doesnt match yours at all. And how come in the second picture the LCD is not smashed? Which is what he is saying.
Obviously hes trying it on and I hope you win this battle, people like this make me angry! Also had my Husband look at the pics, hes very good with little details and stuff and he agrees theyre not the same, not that that helps you much really.
    Good luck!

Shaggy, there are 9 pages of replies here and this has been a great thread about Ebay and the problems people have. i'm sure most people have had problems one way or the other, I hope you get a result here as im sure as everyone else does you are being conned.

Anyway, it would be nice if you clicked the 'Thanks' icon to all those who have assisted you, and for the help they have given.

He cant even get the info right, is it the no 6 key or the screen he has a problem with, looks like he has done it so many times he's confused himself! I really hope Paypal see sense on this one.
  • His listings for an Ipod case have a 1p BIN and £2.96 to send via 1st class post, that is a clear breach of Ebay's rules in fee avoidance so I've reported him. Having read this thread it won't help much but might just annoy him a bit! :)

He's very suspect in having Private Auctions - why do that if you're selling something as innocent as Ipod Cases?

You won't lose, paypal will ask him to send the phone back by a trackable service. If he does then you have to refund, if he doesn't the case gets closed.
  • There is also a link at the bottom of each listing, easier.
Go on, report them all you'll feel so much better when you watch them disappear........revenge is sweet :)

It's strange how I reported those with £10 + pp but it never gets removed! Is it there is a limit of say 1 report per month/no of FB you have to be able to report and ebay looks at this?

Another question-how do you know that the seller is this buyer? Sorry, but I still cannot tell apart from the modified scratched bottoms of the mobiles? Plus it is feminine seller/male buyer?
