You'd have to explain for anyone to believe that.

Does it matter how. I believe that it can be done. I am sure that people have spend quite a bit of time checking that the accounts are for the same person.

OP, in your communication to Paypal did you mention that the buyer first complained about the keypad then the screen. I think that it shows that they are changing their story.
  • this is getting tedious.
The guy paid me through paypal OK?
The Email address used CONTAINS his user ID for his SELLER account. They are both his accounts we have established that.

i dont think I mentioned that because you are limited to only 500 words to tell your side of the story. As we've already established Paypal side with the buyer 99.99% of the time so I expect a chargeback. All I can say is thanks to littlemisscheeky for that bit of detective work to find his seller ID.

Bizarrely, for me to send pics to paypal I have to fax them !!??? They will NOT accept them as email attachments which is really strange. But they will accept an email for me to tell my side of the dispute. #
I am not wasting much more keyboard space on this lowlife though - he isnt worth the hassle. But now we know his seller account ... :)

There are ways to get your email diverted to a diff email address and also to make it look like your replying from the original email address when really you arent.

I know its easy to do it with Hotmail but dont know about Yahoo!, AOL etc

Right, so his Paypal email address on his seller account is the same email address used to register his eBay buying account. He doesn't actually have the same email address used to register on eBay with both the buying and selling account does he.

That's all that me and bluebell pointed out.

That's all that needed to be said, no need for the sarcasm from the last few posts.

They are both different email addresses though, that's the point I was trying to make.

You can use the same email address to buy AND sell via Paypal though. I think this is what LMC was getting at but everyone assumed eBay address!! The reason she was able to trace the shop was because of the email address, you cannot search for an email address via eBay so it would have been impossible for her to do this if you think about it. It had to be a Paypal account. I think she was trying not to tell you how she found out as this means other scammers are now going to be careful on how they set up their accounts but the petty badgering meant she had to explain further.

I've nothing constructive to add, I sat and read it through last night. Nothing surprises me with buyers now though.
  • yes thats right.
Iapologise sincereley if my sarcasm offended anyone lol.
I will explain how i found him............
I did an advanced search for samsung D900's specifying distance/location of sellers.
I found one at his location and his seller EBAY ID looked farmiliar.......turned out i recognised it from my Email inbox from his paypal payment.
You can also search for a seller using Email address which i did and although it wouldn't tell me who the seller was it said that there is a valid EBAY member under that Email with 142 pos f/b which he has.
